Powered USB Hub 3.0 Extender, Multiple Port Hub Splitter for Laptop PC with Power Adapter and Charging Port, USB Expander with On/Off Switches for MacBook, iMac, Surface Pro

This 7 port hub failed very slowly over the course of almost one year. In the time since I purchased this hub in September of 2017, I've suffered the frustration of the intermittent reliability and non function of ALL of the 7 ports. I have had to reboot my PC very often for the many different failure problems this hub has had. Until this piece of junk completely failed, it was always a frustration of plugging and unplugging my USB devices and wondering which of the 7 ports would not work any time I tried to use it. Of the 7 intermittently failing ports, this hub has finally COMPLETELY FAILED operating on ANY port. I would NOT recommend this device to anyone. I wish it would have failed more quickly so I could have sent it back for a refund. If you need a USB 3.0 hub DO NOT BUY THIS ONE. UPDATE on August 23rd, 2018: After posting the above review on August 13th, 2018, the seller contacted me via email through "Amazon" that same day ("Thank You" to the seller). They acknowledged the one year warranty on this device and they offered to send a replacement hub. In that same email, they also indicated "We had improved our product, as well as the package and instructions. I do hope the replacement will satisfy you. If any further question, please feel free to contact us, we are always here for you." I accepted and I received a new replacement hub within 8 days. I have been using this new replacement hub for only about one day so far. I have tested and used all 7 USB ports and their related switches and it is working well. I am using some "San Disk" 3.0 flash drives, a "Western Digital My Passport" 3.0 external drive, a USB 3.0 SD card reader and a small "Brother QL-700" label printer all connected to this new hub and so far, all devices can be "switched" and are immediately recognized and work. I have not tested the USB charging port yet. The real test will be if this new hub remains reliable over time. I will update this review after more use but so far, the new hub is working well. UPDATE on November 30th, 2018: Well, it has been THREE months now since I received and have been using a warranty REPLACEMENT for the first hub I purchased. The second/replacement hub is still working perfectly. I am still using this hub with "San Disk" 3.0 flash drives and the same external HDD and label printer. ALL seven USB ports and switches are STILL working fine. I hope it continues to work. My FIRST hub worked for about this long and then started to fail intermittently. So far, this second, warranty replacement hub is doing fine. I've "got my fingers crossed". Thanks again to the seller "Lyfnlove" for supporting this product. So far, the replacement hub is working well. UPDATE: February 3rd, 2019 I have been using the NEW REPLACEMENT hub for 6 months now and this replacement hub is working PERFECTLY. I am still very pleased with this device. I especially like the ability to SWITCH each port "as needed" and that with all of the other features of this hub are now working very well. I have UPGRADED my satisfaction to this device to 5 Stars. I am very pleased with both the now perfect operation of the replacement hub AND the "Seller Support" to honor their warranty support for this device.

This is a reliable USB Hub with great customer service. Unlike some other brands who have had feedback on flaky operation, I have had NO physical connectivity problems. I can re-position the HUB on my desk without affecting the devices plugged in. I can turn on and off devices without disturbing the other devices connected. I can rearrange and tug on cables with losing connectivity. This HUB is solid. LYFNLOVE also has great customer service. When I purchased the device, I asked for a user manual and was immediately provided with an electronic manual. After using the HUB for one year and two months, one morning I found no USB devices. The HUB appeared to power up okay, but the PC was not recognizing the USB devices. Rebooting, and plugging and unplugging both the HUB and USB devices did not help. LYFNLOVE support was phenomenal. I received a trouble-shooting manual and followed the steps. It worked! For those of you who experienced this situation, don't give up on the HUB. Basically, here is what you should do: 1. Remove the HUB connection to the PC. 2. Remove all USB devices from the HUB. 3. Remove the external power supply to the HUB. It is important that there is no external power. 4. Plug the HUB back to the PC allow the PC to power the HUB. Because the PC has to power the HUB, the HUB will now be seen by the PC. 5. Now you can attach your external power supply, and then plug in your devices. There are a lot of choices out there for USB HUBs. I will definitely buy this one again.

Really didn't think I would write a review for a USB power strip. After all, it's a powerstrip. You plug it in the computer and then plug everything into the plug. How difficult could that be to create? But this one deserves a review!. At first, I wasn't a fan of the blue lights, the power switches, and the power cord. As well, I never thought I needed a power cord with my USB strip, but it actually helps charge my phone faster. My desk is where things go to get lost and I shuffle things around so I didn't use the suction cups. Still, this little thing takes a good deal of abuse on my desk and after a year or more, it's still beaming the blue lights and have to say that I have found to be a source of calm when I come into my office in the morning and see everything is still glowing and that means it's still working. No guessing. I have had other bars die on me and I didn't know it until i needed them. The switches, that tell me how many things I have plugged in and if I really need them powered or not. I love the glow, did I mention that? The long cord is really nice as my computer tower is not in a convenient place or easy to get to. Very much love it and the price was right,

The LYFNLOVE USB 3.0 7-port USB splitter works exactly as advertised. After a few weeks of use I've had no issues at all with the splitter, or the power it supplies to my connected USB devices. I like the Blue LED feature of the ports, as well as the option to turn individual ports off as needed. PROS: Works exactly as advertised. Provides an additional "smart" power-port to charge devices in the end of the hub. On-Off switches work well. Blue LED for each port is a good indicator of on-off status. USB 3.0 compatible for higher speed data transfers. I need the power provided by the adapter - be sure to use it since most USB ports in a PC or Mac won't give this hub the power it needs. CONS: Cord management is always an issue with hubs and devices. This hub is no exception. With all the cords the hub has a tendency to move around, especially when plugging/unplugging devices - I used a strip of heavy duty hook-and-loop tape (aka "Velcro") on the bottom to prevent movement. Other reviewers talked about suction cups - these were not in my package as arrived but with a wood topped desk would not have worked well anyway. NEUTRAL: The supplied power cord was just long enough to reach my power strip but no wiggle room to spare. The hub sits next to my laptop docking station so the USB cord connection is no issue. The blue LED surrounding each port is bright, preventing me from seeing the LED in a USB adaptor for my Sennheiser headset. I would recommend this and buy it again if the need arises.

I've got a million peripherals and a new machine that didn't have as many ports as I needed and some devices I was swapping ports out before between ports before with my multi PC setup (home and work). It's incredibly convenient to free up ports so that the devices that are dedicated to home or work can stay on their main PC and for those that see both uses only having to switch one usb cord over. Not having to disconnect devices when they aren't needed for others that are in the moment. Being able to turn devices off with a quick button press. This thing has massively simplified my life and I've only had it a week or two (life is a blur at the moment). All that and self sustained power?!? Power consumption, and potential added strain to my machines, of usb with the amount of peripherals I have has popped into my head as a worry more than a few times. I've had zero issues and I've moved it between PC's bare minimum of 4 times a day. 5 of 5 10 of 10 would buy again. And in case you didn't get it already I'm crazy about this and it's a great product.

I had been using a 4-port USB 3.0 hub that performed well, but lacks the power buttons and of course, 3 additional ports. This is a much better solution for me because I've recently added some additional devices (3 external hard drives, mechanical keyboard, gaming mouse, fan) all plugged into my laptop. The power buttons are nice to have, but the largest surprise is the inclusion of a charge-only port. Having 8 total ports in such a compact strip is a huge plus to me. The device itself came very well packaged, with great instructions, a cable management tie, and even a Velcro strip so you can attach the hub to the side or underside of your desk. While I opted to use my own self-adhesive vinyl bumpers, I think the device overall is well executed. If there is one gripe, its the plastic material, which shows smudges easily (very glossy) and is a bit thin. However, it shouldn't fall on the floor if you use the Velcro! Lastly, the power cable is removable, but the USB cable is not. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase because I was running out of open USB 3.0 ports. Now I have a few to spare for thumb drives while all my other devices mentioned above remain plugged in.

TL:DR - Worth every penny. Extremely convenient and reliable. Have had 0 issues. This has saved my life. I have 3 USB ports on my laptop, but 7 devices that need to be connected. I am able to easily and individually disable devices with a simple button press on the hub. No more plugging and unpluggin devices. Also, the fact that it powers itself means that even when my computer is off, my mouse and headset will charge. The extra port dedicated for charging is what I use for my phone at the desk now. Incidentally, this device has also removed a lot of the clutter from wires on the desk, as all the USB cables are localized and easily routed through holes and around my desk now.

Excellent choice for USB Hub. Like the compact size, and there's on/off button next to each USB so one has the option to turn on only the USB slots one is using; plus each USB slot lights up when powered on so one can see at a glance if Hub slot is on. Has a nice blue glow to each powered USB slot when powered on. If blue lighting is a problem for your situation then this unit is not for you as if light is out the USB will not have power. The electrical cord is good length and not a stingy shorty type. Has a double sided suction cup pad, in double rows that one can apply a bit of moisture to mini suction cups to anchor unit to your desk surface to maintain it's assigned spot. I have mine on it's side so the USB cords plugged in don't have to bend up from vertical, but can rather flow out horizontal and parallel with desk surface from Hub for less strain on cords. I don't think the suction cup pad will work on a vertical surface, only horizontal desk configurations (I know because I tried it). Hope this is helpful to potential owners. I've been using this for about 2 months with no problems.
