Dr. India LoganMornings With God: Daily Bible Devotional for Women: 365 Devotions to Inspire Your Day

Grounding.
Honestly, I'm not one to buy devotionals [although I have a few] I find scripture works best for me. There is always so much to be gleaned from those pages. However, one day after doing my devotional for the day I decided to skim through the pages.Doing so I saw the title "Relationships Matter: Keep the Peace". Oh my, my, my, just like that a gem finds me!It's short and sweet, and just what I needed to make the ultimate decision in letting out some demons once in for all, in hopes that my siblings may also be set free, and we can all do away with our family's generational curses.(So much from one little paragraph.)I don't want to make this unnecessarily long.If you're reading this then HE's trying to get your attention. Nothing is by coincidence. Purchase the book there is a message that's waiting just for you and you must receive it. Freedom, peace, and love are waiting for you.I will add, that I especially like that it's a year-long devotional, the Father deserves your presence every day. It won't harm you; it's a win-win situation, and how much better will you be for it? 🦋

Keeping it Short
I keep my eyes open for devotionals and uplifting reading, in particular for my wife as she is a voracious reader. I selected this one thinking it would be a good choice for her. It’s a nice book and it has some good writing in it but I would stop short of calling it a full devotional book because the daily readings are way too short. To describe this in a phrase, I would call this a “drive-by devotional”.To be fair, this is a full 365-day reader and there is something for every day of the year. It is structured nicely and the readings are very to-the-point. Each reading starts with a Scripture reference (fully quoted) and there is a short devotional passage afterward. The emphasis here is on the word “short” – usually these stick to a single paragraph and there are usually two days’ readings on a single page. So, the writing does not run deep. It does seem to be clear, on target and very direct which is good. I haven’t read through the whole book, but so far I haven’t found any daily readings that are off-the-mark or stray from Biblical teaching. This is not a bad book at all. It’s an encouraging book and there is some value in it for someone looking for a daily shot in the arm. I would hesitate to call it a full devotional though, as the writings are very short and don’t go very deep.

Daily devotional
I got this devotional at the same time I selected a matching one for my husband. It's short, sometimes only half a page, but each lesson is one to make a person ponder. Very nice way to start one's day.

Refreshing
This book is refreshment for a Christian woman’s soul. The devotions are written by a woman who has clearly walked with God and wants to encourage others to do the same. I love that there is scripture on each page (that food that nourishes and never perishes). On most pages there is more than one scripture. I find the devotions to be insightful, inspiring, encouraging and uplifting with sound biblical interpretation and application. I appreciate & have enjoyed the “Live Out the Word” sections sprinkled throughout. They motivate me to go beyond everyday routines and experience a deeper more intimate relationship with God, be a light to those in my sphere of influence and live the abundant life that Christ came to give. I was provided an advanced copy of the book to review and I really wanted to take the time to read it and sit with it and give an honest review. I really enjoy this book. Even the color-blocking on the pages is unique and refreshing to the eyes. I appreciate this author’s insight. Her heart for God & for the women that she is seeking to encourage with words of wisdom is deeply felt. It’s like sitting with a wise sister in Christ while we enjoy the Presence of God over breakfast. It helps me to focus on Who God is, His goodness, faithfulness and how much He loves us, provides for us and protects us. I recommend this book.

Short Daily Devotionals from Many Different Bible Books
This is a book with 365 short devotions for women. I was not familiar with the author Dr. India Logan, but after reading her short biography in the front of the book, I am inspired by her story. Each devotional has a title and one verse, then a short meditation or advice on that verse. A few of the devotionals are a full page with an additional thought for meditation at the bottom, but most of them are two on a page.I like that the devotionals come from many different books of the Old and New Testament. They are on a variety of topics. They are numbered in order, rather than being for specific days of the year, so you can pick up the book and start from the beginning and work your way through as you have time.Overall, I would recommend this book for a busy woman who is looking for very short devotional thoughts to reflect on in the morning.

Good Daily Devotionals In A Cramped Layout Devoid Of Art
I ordered this as a gift for my mom. I thought it would have journal prompts. It doesn't.Other non journal daily devotionals I've ordered have a nicer feel/look. Typically one devotional per page with some nice artwork thrown in. This has everything crammed in with 2 devotionals per page & no art.Overall, it's fine for it's purpose, just not as visually appealing as I'd expected.
