Great for the Classroom
I bought two wireless presenter/mouses to use with my classroom computer projector; I wanted to see which one would work better for my needs as a teacher. I was hoping to use it to control the computer while being able to circulate around the room. This one works perfectly. I'm very pleased with it.PROS: #1 Very easy to use. #2 Great range; I can walk all over my classroom and it works fine. #3 Works great as a PowerPoint presenter. #4 The joystick is easy to use and it works great as a mouse. #5 I love that I can switch how I want to use it, either as a PowerPoint presenter or a computer mouse. BTW: even in "computer mouse" mode, you can still use it with PowerPoint. #6 Ergonomically comfortable; it fits well in my hand. #7 I prefer a green laser pointer instead of the red. #8 Love the back-lighting on the remote. #9. The USB connector is easy to remove and can be stored in the remote when not in use. #10 It came with a black zipper case for storage.CONS: none I can think of.It uses two AAA batteries.

Excellent built and solid unit, Great buy for the money.
I received this Presenter 1 day after ordering. It is solidly built and feels comfortable in the hand. I opened the packaging and plugged it in and it was recognized and worked with no problems. I needed one with cursor control and that was the determining factor for me in buying this product. I love the green laser pointer as it is much brighter than red ones I have used in the past. The cursor control joystick is easy to use and navigate windows with a little practice. The backlit buttons are also helpful in a dark classroom or auditorium during presentation. Other instructors I work with also enjoy using mine over theirs as well. The button layout is logical and the ability to switch between presentation mode and cursor mode is handy also. I would definitely recommend this product to other instructors, teachers, etc. The only thing missing from this unit is a timer with vibrate function like the Logitech R800, however cursor control was more important to me than a timer.

Good range, Bright laser, Short battery life
After having used a few different presentation remotes, I decided to upgrade to a model with a green laser. Options included the Logitech Professional Presenter R800 with Green Laser Pointer , which is very similar to Logitech's red-laser version which I have used quite extensively. I decided to try the Kensington, which has a very simple control layout, and is slightly larger. My hands are big, and I prefer the way that it feels in my hand. All the necessary controls are there, buttons to advance slides forward and backward, a button to black-out the screen, and the button for the laser. I find anything more than this to be unnecessary. There is also a joystick in the middle of the 4-way button layout that can be used to control the mouse pointer if the remote is switched into that mode. It's not something I use frequently, but it's nice to have occasionally. The range is great and I've never had an instance where the remote did not transmit effectively. While I really like the functionality of the remote, I have found that it goes through batteries pretty quickly. I'm assuming that it is due to the green laser, which I tend to use quite a bit while presenting. The laser starts to lose brightness after a few all-day sessions, and then finally just gives out completely. The nice thing is that the other controls continue to work flawlessly even when the batteries are too weak to power the laser, so at least I can continue to advance slides and my presentation is not totally crippled.Minus one star for the battery life, but overall I'm very pleased and this has become my primary tool for presentations.

I Love This Thing
I bought this presenter for our church because the clicker we had just didn't reach to the back of the sanctuary where our computer is located. It works great even though the distance is over 100 feet. I really only wanted the PowerPoint features to allow a presenter to go forward or backward in a slide show and display a laser pointer. It does that very well and even provides a button to temporarily blank the screen. The backlighting is great, and the laser is in fact very powerful. However, you can also switch to Cursor Control mode which lets you take control of the cursor on the screen so you can show a YouTube video, change to another presentation, or do just about anything that you want. There is a tiny joystick that looks like the "eraser" controls that laptop computers used to have in the middle of the keyboard. By pushing on it, you can move the cursor in that direction. The buttons that go forward or backward in your slide show now act as left and right mouse buttons. It even has a nice case and a slot for storing the dongle that goes in the USB slot on the computer when the presenter isn't in use.Very nice product!

Exactly What I Wanted.
So far, this has been working exactly as advertised. I have the model with the green laser and have used it only in presenter mode. I love the fact that the USB dongle store in the presenter itself, and I love the soft case provided with it, which happens to nicely store an extra pair of AAA batteries so I have a backup if the batteries fail partway through a class.I've gotten about 8 hours so far out of the first set of batteries, with occasional use of the pointer. Having the lighted buttons is great for two reasons; first I know when it's on and never forget to turn it off when putting it away, second they're easy to see in a darkened or dimmed room.I am using it with the web-based presenter, "reveal.js", and it's been working well. The mouse movement "joystick" has been useful to move the mouse pointer off the screen when I've occasionally left it there. Screen dimming works with reveal.js and is occasionally very useful.I've not had cause to test it at long range though; if ever I do, I'll try to remember to return and comment on that specifically.

Simple to use and just works
I use this for presenting slide shows on a Macbook Air connected to a projector. Although it's only rated up to 5 meters, I have had no problems using it 10 meters away from the receiver. The Green Laser shows up very bright on the projector screen even when the projector is on. I Only use it for about half hour per week, but so far I've been using the same set of batteries for 2 months now. It comes with a nice zippered padded carrying case, I also like how the USB receiver is stored in the presenter so that it doesn't get lost as easily. I haven't really used the cursor much, but works great for flipping through slides.

Guter Presenter
