Purchased for a 4yo - this instrument is very well tuned; mallets appear sturdy (based on 2 weeks of daily use). I also purchased a 25-note glockenspiel for my older child - the sound quality from this smarkids instrument is very similar to our 25-note instrument. The quality of the harmonica is also excellent. In summary, I am very pleased with this order, and will likely order another soon (gift to a friend's child). The song book is more like a small 5-6 inch booklet - I ended up printing several color-coded music sheets from google images.

I bought another toy Xylophone before and it drove me nuts not able to play a real song because all the keys were wrong. This one is a very well made Xylophone that I can actually play some songs with my son. And it always sounds good no matter how my 2 year old pound on it which is a bonus. It also come with a very well made small Harmonica. Great buy. If you are look for a toy Xylophone, get this one!

My husband and I are both musicians and he has perfect pitch. It was so important to both of us to find quality kids instruments for our son that are in tune and have decent tone! This xylophone is absolutely perfect. I love that we can play real songs with him and they sound good!

I bought two for grandchildren’s gifts. They sound beautiful; not your normal toy xylophone. I just wish they would include more songs to play. There’s only one song in several languages. Considering it is far more than a toy with precision note sounds, it’s just a shame that it doesn’t include a songbook of songs to learn and play

The xylophone is beautiful. I love the materials used, and it’s held up great so far. My 3 month old loves when we play it for her and my 2 year old loves playing it. I purchased this for both items as I was also looking for a quality harmonica. This one is just okay but I prefer Fender as this one requires more effort to make sound and doesn’t have that super clear quality sound. My 2 year old loves harmonics but doesn’t use this one because it’s hard to make it play.

Harmonica and Xylophone Toddler and Kindergartener approved. Each child loves both musical instruments. Harmonica makes perfect sounds, perfect pitch. The 2 year old toddler caught on in five minutes. Booklet is perfectly correct. I have studied music for many years. The theory and diagrams are sound. A great start. If you want a music book with many songs, purchase one from your local music store! They will be more than happy to help you on your musical journey. Xylophone provides perfect pitch, felt pads encourage proper tonal pitch. Recommend 10/10

This Is a Cmas gift for my 2 1/2 year old grandson. Seems to be very nice. I like the packaging. Also it has a very nice sounding tone. I have not checked out the harmonica tho. Overall seems to be very nice and a good value. I’m excited for him to open it. 😊

One of my grandkids is two years old. Her mom mentioned she seen one similar to this one on a you tube video. I decided to get her one. She loves it and the harmonica was a bonus. I like the packaging, in all the instruments are nicely made and its worth my money spent. My granddaughter loves it!
