Excellent head unit
Well what can I say. I was debating whether or not to upgrade my old Ford CD 6000 and i found this on amazon which was a good price. Managed to email the company before purchase and confirmed a couple of questions which they replied to promptly and gave me the answer i was looking for. Arrived next day from Amazon.Checked the contents in the box was it's was all there so the fitting began. Managed to got the old stereo out it was such an easy install I couldn't believe it. Simply connect wires to new unit, fit USB cable which i installed under the unit Buying a extension USB to make it fit better rather then having wires showing, find a position for GPS antenna, plug them into unit along with aerial, Run the rear camera wire to the back of the vehicle and fix the camera to the back. Finally connecting the main wiring harness which clipped in and worked straight away. Had it all fitted in 90 mins.First impressions were excellent. Set up WiFi and hotpot on the phone. Do find the my personal hotspot on iPhone doesn't stay on when left for some time and have had to click it back on when get back into vehicle. Configured all the steering wheel control so they all function as they should and this was super easy to set up Got to play round with settings and update some of the app, change time to current location etc.I have tried things like Spotify, YouTube etc and all work great. My radio reception also seems far superior to the standard radio. Didn't bother with the DAB but may get it further down the line. Haven't been able to move the icon around and on main screen to make them work better for me however have emailed the seller again to assistHonestly, anyone looking to bring there car up to a higher spec and greater sound then don't hesitate.Time will be a factor if it slows down or becomes glitchy but I've been super impressed with it and shouldn't have debated for many months. Treat yourself, you won't be disappointed.

Drains battery of car even when fuses are unplugged.
This unit will drain your car battery, even if you unplug the fuse associated with the radio module. There is something wrong with the connection where it prevents the car from going to sleep, as well as adding 120mA of parasitic drain. This is even if you change the settings to turn off the radio immediately and not have a sleep mode.On top of that the facia doesn't quite fit, sticks out a bit, which I was willing to get over, but if it's going to kill my car and mess up the programming, it's going back in the mail.

Caveat emptor, but if yours works, it does the job nicely enough.
Edit: just over a month in from installation. This may be a fault with my specific head unit, but there is an issue with the unit’s voltage which drained my battery of all charge as I turned the key to start the engine - requiring an embarrassing jump-start to get home from work. Thusly I have uninstalled and returned the head unit and searching for a better and more reliable alternative. If you buy this product, then be aware you may have issues. The rest of the review stands. For the price, I wasn’t necessarily expecting the world, and if you’re debating purchasing this head unit, keep your expectations in check. But it does the job - and considering what kit the original Ford Focus Mk2 came with, it is quite a lofty upgrade in terms of in-car entertainment. The basic set-up is easy enough - which is fortunate as the instruction manual is in garbled Chinese “Google Translate” English - grab a set of stereo keys to uninstall your original unit (about a fiver online), remove the wiring, unscrew and remove the fascia plate, clip on the supplied adaptor to the car’s power cable, plug in antenna and power cable, then clip the head unit + new fascia into the dash.I did not get around to looking at the rear-view camera, nor the supplied microphone (I would’ve thought this would be inside the unit), audio cables or USB connectors. The latter makes no sense to include unless the manufacturer also included fittings to replace the blanking plates to the left and right of the de-misting buttons, which they don’t. Carving up the original plates was not a task that appealed to me, nor was the task of finding appropriate wiring to get third-party USB plates, so I didn’t bother, although I may in the future. The unit is very much in-keeping with the Focus’s design aesthetic and looks like it’s meant to be there, which is a massive plus and helps the unit feel premium - there’s no shonky “definitely aftermarket” look to it and the bright screen really makes the car feel years newer inside than it really is.Audio quality is very much so-so - but this isn’t the fault of the product, but the factory speaker systems. You’ll notice a lift in audio quality if you just used your old system for radio, as I did - I can’t compare this product versus CD audio quality as I don’t have any - and haven’t for about a decade. The Apple CarPlay function works really well and is what I bought the unit for - it’s fantastic to be able to use Spotify, BBC Sounds and Audible on the go. Like other reviewers, I have definitely noticed some lag, but it’s something I can live with. The “default” Android user interface is a lot more responsive than CarPlay, but it’s *very* clumsy, and this is where you definitely notice that this is an Amazon-bought Android product courtesy of the People’s Republic. English is garbled, the Settings app in particular, and the default screen is difficult to change so at the minute, it takes some digging to bring CarPlay up. I would say an update to the software is something that’s desperately needed here. Again it’s something I can live with - I just need to figure out how to pin CarPlay to the main screen when I have a spare few minutes. All in all, you get what you pay for. Looks-wise, it’s a very appealing looking system that fits into its surroundings perfectly, and it’s a massive step change over the Ford 6000 or Sony CD system that originally came with the Ford Focus Mk2 - although its performance is a bit lacklustre and the default Android GUI is really not good. It’s a relief to not be stuck with just radio from an antiquated Sony system (and if you’re like me, it’s nice to not look at the bizarre-looking Ghia “walnut trim” on the fascia!), but I may keep an eye out for a better system in the future.
