Beautiful AND Works!!
My husband & I started drinking coffee recently. One particular brand comes in vacuum sealed bags - but only in 8 ounce bags, so I order several at a time. I wanted something that would hold more then 2 bags because the bags take up a lot of cabinet space.I ordered the Cobalt first and the canister hold a ton of the coffee beans I have. I ordered 2 of the Rose ones for the ground coffee and for my Tea. This canister holds over 45 bags of my Tea...that's the amount I had and there's still room for more!! So far in the 2nd one I put 2 and a half bags of our ground coffee and it's perfect! The cap works just fine. If you don't push the "button" on the top side, you can't really push the cap on, nor does it come off. That's a good thing!Yes, these are a bit pricey but in my honest opinion - well worth it.I may just order more for my chocolates & sugars!

A little awkward to handle -- slightly misnamed
The smooth, featureless exterior and diameter of this storage container make it slightly awkward to open. I usually just grip the top with one hand and hopefully depress the vacuum release button with one of my fingers. It's a little hard to see the button under my counter because it's the same dark color as the rest of the container. If I've gripped it properly, I let the weight of the contents puts the lower part of the container free of the upper cap/top. Otherwise, it does a fine job of keeping my coffee beans fresh for at least a week. Another indicator is that no bean odor leaks out from the container when closed. And unfortunately, it actually has no mechanism to draw a vacuum. As the pressure-release value is depressed during closing, it just allows air trapped inside to escape -- nothing more.

great container for coffee!
I use this container to store my coffees that I can buy only seasonally. I have some coconut coffee that has been in one of the containers for 4-5 months and still tastes and smells as fresh as the day I bought it. I bought two 10 ounce bags and poured them in here and there was plenty of room for third bag even.this container is way bigger than I expected it to be. it has a small foot print, but is very tall. not every attractive to place on a counter if you have more than one.I ordered two sizes and when I received the order one was sealed in plastic and wrapped up to protect the finish. the other was not and was scratched to hell. looked like it had been kicked down the street a few times. I requested a new one and the replacement came wrapped exactly like the other one (the good one)

Love this container
Love this container! It is truly airtight. Currently have 2, 1 smaller one to keep a small amt of ground coffee in & this larger 1 1/2 lb to keep the remainder of my beans. I have been extremely happy with quality; so much so that I'm preparing to purchase a few more to store loose leaf tea. It's worth the one time cost to purchase a truly air tight container for my coffee beans, loose leaf teas & other items; these are pricey products to store & we all know air is the enemy, by protecting our consumables so they'll last longer these containers more than pay for themselves. Ziplocks just don't do the job. Food Saver's are great but time consuming to get in and out of in a hurry; I have one of those too & have used it for everything! Another wonderful product.

I have several of these
i have several of these tightvac containers. They contain the odors of your "tobacco" for those who have to worry about younger or older people finding your stash. Or even keep the smell of your "herbs" contained to the jar in event of a random house guest. For those looking to be even more discreet, you can get a black one or another color to blend in to where ever you want to store it.This most recent order i bought a large size container (not sure of the size at the moment) this way i have enough room to store every thing i need for a session in 1 place. Just grab and go

Vacuum Sealed is misunderstood and a bit misleading.
So I really like these. They work well. The "vacuum" seal is a little button that lets the air escape as you put down the lid and creates a good tight seal. These keeps the lid secure without a direct locking mechanism. That is what they mean by "Vacuum seal" It doesn't suck all air out of it.I didn't expect it to to be honest, but I do see reviews that complain about that. The other big complaint. The plastic is Polystyrene. Which is has no BPA risk and is considered food safe. However it is kinda meh as a plastic. I always line dry food containers with Wax or parchment paper anyway. Don't really know why but I do.. so it isn't much of an issue. However there are reviews talking about it not being food safe and that just isn't true.Overall the large one holds just shy of a kilo of flour just fine and I carried it by the lid. So the seal is fairly strong. They are a good little container.I gave it 4 stars mostly because the plastic is cheap and the "vacuum seal" is marketing and misleading to most people.

It keeps the smell contained, which is what I was looking for.
I like the width of the container. It makes it easy to put things inside and remove them. I am pleased with this purchase.

Great Product
I bought this container to keep flour in so I don't get weevils again. It's completely air-tight and it looks very attractive on the kitchen counter (I got a black one). I hope to buy many more of these containers.
