For a beginner it’s great!
I am in the process of learning to play. It may take me some time to learn but I am committed and love the sound of the banjo. I am taking lessons and read every thing I can get my hands on. This banjo seems to be well made for the price. The gig bag is a little flimsy so I purchased a nicer one but all in all I would recommend this banjo for a beginner.

Second hand
It appears that I received a item that had been returned and not looked at and then sent to me it definitely not brand new when I opened the package it was all in disorder and items not in the proper packaging

I Like It
It's a nice banjo for me to learn on. The appearance is much better than I expected, especially at the price. The wood used on the resonator is beautiful.

Great starter bango!
The media could not be loaded. I would have gave it 5 stars but when my son began to play it, after assembly, the nut on the 5th fret that holds the fifth string came off. So I just changed the direction of the string on the tunner without the plastic nut so it would not have a buzzing sound. The parchment paper on the head is high quality and provides a good tone. He loves it.

Instrument is pretty good, but there are issues
So, I'll preface this review by saying I'm a complete beginner and am not well versed in quality or play of the instrument. That said, there is a small flaw on the neck of the banjo. I don't think it will hurt the sound, so not a big deal (I think). The bag was damaged in the box. It looks like the Styrofoam melted to the bag. The bag is honestly trash. No padding and super thin. The strap is also super cheap and thin. I wouldn't trust it to hold up the weight of the instrument. The strings feel super cheap as well, so I'll be buying some better ones. Not a deal breaker, and I kind of expected it.The tuner is utter trash. The battery was just stuck in the clamp part. The battery compartment lid won't stay on and the battery just fell out any time I tried yo use it. The power also constantly flickered constantly. I'll be buying a different one as well. All in, for the price, I think it will be fine for me to learn to play on. If I stick with it, I will need to buy a nicer one.

Everything you need to start
The media could not be loaded. Well made, great looking and sounds good. Includes some basic stuff, like fingertips and spare strings. The case is cheap made and the tuner is so so. You'll probably will need to buy these two things separately. The most important is the instrument itself and it's great for a beginner.

Could come with better tuner tho

Not well made
One of the tuning knobs fell off. Came completely out of the wood.

Nope!
Would not stay in tune for a whole song. Brought it to a local music store and they said “you get what you pay for.” They were right.
