Why does this come with 3 sprinklers when you can only use 2?

You can use all 3 of these sprinklers.

Does this work well for a lawn? Someone in a review mentioned it does not provide a full coverage?

Hello. This product is good to use around flower and vegetable gardens. If you are unsure which sprinkler would work for you, please look at our lawn calculator page https://melnor.com/lawn-size-calculator/. Once you determine your square footage the page also suggests sprinkler products that would fit your lawn needs.

Can I tap on the head with a hammer to get the spike into the ground?

Hello. We do not recommend using a hammer on the sprinkler head to get the spike into the ground. This could damage the sprinkler head and cause the range dial adjustments to not work.

how many inches/hour?

It uses a hose input and will deliver the amount your hose dies, a gallon or two per minute.
