It was a such a great book for my boy that we HAD to purchase a copy for him to have for life. Very good teachings! Review: Quality and nicely written - The book arrived in pristine condition which i appreciate highly. It is geared more towards younger boys than I was hoping. More of middle school/young high school. Some design choices are odd and can break up the flow of the chapters but it reads well. There are plenty of examples, reads conversationally, and is accurate in all respects. For a beginner's guide, it does well. Though I do say it lacks compared to the female version (I bought and read both as it is wise to understand both sides in order to play your own part well). All in all, as a starter guide for the intended age group, it does very well. When I allocate more funds to my self-improvement budget, I will be researching the rest of their books for more advanced teachings.

So you have a Young Man....
This is a nice book for a young man to have on hand. It provides some good advice without being preachy. It's straight forward and easy to read format. It covers things such as: How to accept a compliment. How to give a compliment. Shaking someone's hand. How to introduce someone. There are things it doesn't cover, obviously. But it covers a lot and it's enough for a young man who might want to improve himself or is open to correction and willing to do things better. I would suggest that it's too basic for an 18 year old. I gave it to my fifteen year old with the thought that if he can drive, he can start to have some more manners (He's already a pretty good kid) and learn to behave more properly. Because it's not judgy or preachy I think he was willing to read it and found it useful.

Great book for basic manners!
I recommend this book for any young man that wants to be more of a gentleman. The authors have a very good sense of humor, and understand how we young men feel about things. Of course, like any book like this, it has a few weird/incorrect tips and situations that require a different response from everyone. For the low price, it's great!

Good gift
Important things to read, remember and practice, especially for those without a male role model.

Good for any age
I read this first, since I was giving it to my 28 year old son. There is a lot of advice aimed at younger ages, but I don't think they'll understand until much later. There is a lot for a young man to ponder. I'm glad I bought it for him.

Good read for pre-teen - good as a brush up
I bought this book for my ten year old. I feel like a broken record sometimes and I’m sure it gets old having every instance made into a lesson so I figured to give this book a try. The chapters are short but give the “Do’s and Don’ts” and some practical solutions to situations. It’s good to read one section at a time and then implement. Some of the sections are basic but good reminders and, like it said, it’s not just coming from “mom” anymore.

A gem!
I am so glad to have found this book. I have been reading a chapter every morning at breakfast with my 9 and 10 year old sons. The chapters are concise, very practical, and I find them very entertaining. It has sparked some valuable conversations with the boys, and I can somewhat limit my motherly nagging throughout the day to, "are you being gentlemanly?" When we finish reading it, we'll start it over again. These things can't be reiterated too many times!
