I'm a face and body painter (and craft painter) and these sponges are great. You don't have to see any staining and easy to clean. I cut them in half and some in quarters for smaller areas to paint. The rounded edge is key to smooth application!They came in Vaccum pack so thin like makeup powder pads! See pics. As soon as opened up... I couldn't stack them fast enough as they expanded before my eyes! So they are the 3+inches wide and abt 3/4 of an inch thick.

Received these today. Which I did order last minute for a face painting gig tomorrow and came quickly! However, when I opened the box I was these flat compressed sponges. Which in turn freaked me out when I cut the bag open they didn't start to springing up... Worried and cussing I put one in a little bit of water (cold).. left the room and looked at reviews... So went back with the whole bag and put them in hot water... To my relief they all puffed out perfectly with in seconds...I will update my review aftery gig tomorrow on how they hold up!

Opened the package and rehydrated the sponges and found a dead bed bug .

Used for crafting and perfect for the job. Mainly used to put surface wax in wood.

These are really vacuum sealed. You need to soak them in water, wring them out and wait about 12 hours before they actually return to their original shape and thickness

Following advice of other reviewers, I cut open the top of the bag, filled with warm water, poured it out and let it dry in my dish rack. Perked these up immediately, they are perfect.

I bought these to use for hand washing my dishes. Perfect size! Because they are foam they don’t develop the yucky smell of cellulose sponges.

The product I received was flat not like noted in the photograph

I liked these better than other ones I've used previously. They are very smooth and durable and don't start breaking up into little bits like my other ones bought elsewhere. Using for pottery.

I bought these sponges and put 2 in a small container, filled it with nail polish remover and now I just put each fingernail in the remover and twist ( polish comes right off).

Good size and good price. I bought these for face painting and cut them in half and they are the perfect size. I struggle to load them properly with face paint to get a good coverage for stencils etc. I feel they would be better for other painting types.

They are ok sponges, but they have a tendency to fall apart and shed after a while. Not a big deal for general tasks, but for something like applying dye to leather as I was, these are not recommended. I ended up having to pick out small pieces of sponge from the final product. They do come compressed… adding water or leaving them out of the bag for a day will fluff them up again. I get better result over all from dollar store dish sponges.
