Wow. Just wow.
I’ve pressed my luck over the years with a 24” case with no issues (I almost always fly First Class and FAs and GAs tend to look the other way for those of us spending the big bucks) but I’ve recently started flying out of cities that require bags to be placed in 23” bins. Obviously, a 24” bag sticks up and I knew I would get called on it sooner or later. So I’ll save my fantastic 24” bag for road trips and I bought this one for air travel. First, let me say the wheel design is incredible. It gives you an extra inch of room inside the bag compared to the 4-wheel bags. That might not seem like much, but when you are limited to 20 or 21 inches of interior space, that is as much as a 5% increase in space. It makes up half of the space I lost going from a 24” to a 22” bag. Second, I wasn’t sure about whether I’d find the garment bag feature inside useful, but I used it for a pair of dress slacks going one direction on a 4+hour flight and suit jacket jacket on the return and both came out virtually wrinkle-free. So, a winner there.I’m still on the fence about the floating insert at the bottom of the bag. I can see how it might be useful to separate clean from dirty clothes, but I use packing cubes and a dirty clothes bag, so I didn’t use it for that. i may find a use in the future. The outside pockets were of no use for me. I always carry a underseat bag anyway. I can see how the smaller pocket between the handle bars might be good for a pair of glasses. The real winner is the compression feature. I packed the bag in its extended position with a dirty laundry bag inside and just crushed it down. Viola! Legal width. Better than fighting with a zipper that breaks (I’ve seen this happen). The bag BARELY fits in a Delta overhead, wheels first, as long as you stay away from the hinges. I will have to wait to try on other carriers and in the new Airbus sideways configuration, but it should be good.All-in-all, this bag fits a LOT of inside space into a small package. It is extremely well-built, with a lifetime warranty. A winner bag.

The last bag you will ever purchase.
I purchased this bag because I'm a flight attendant and always on the go. I needed a bag that stands behind it's name plus my Briggs and Riley has a lifetime warranty. That means that I never have to purchase another bag ever. Several of my co-workers have steered me towards this bag and it hasn't disappoint in any way. I love how you can expand the bag with the CSX expansion. It allows me to pack more items and once filled, I can compress the items for a tight fit. I know the bag does seem a little pricey, but I look at it as an investment. I won't have to keep buying luggage over and over and spending money for new bags, plus it retails for $659 and I caught it on Amazon for $330. Woo hoo!

The Ideal Carry-On
I have traveled with a Tumi 22" roller bag for the last 21 years. It served me well, but it is now rather battered and the hard plastic parts surrounding the extendable handle and around the bottom of the case have become brittle and are now failing. Unfortunately, Tumi is no longer the company it once was, having been bought out by some conglomerate. They are no longer making bags to the same standard of quality and their prices have risen dramatically. After looking at their current offerings, buying another Tumi bag didn't seem a reasonable choice.Fortunately, I already owned a Briggs & Riley 21" Global Roller Bag which I like a lot, it just wasn't suited for travel in today's most modern jets. It is 15" wide, which is just slightly too wide to allow it to be placed on it side in the newest overhead bins. I always felt a bit guilty having to place it flat in the overhead bin, which takes up about twice the space as a bag placed on its side. Hence, my decision to purchase this 22" roller bag , which conforms nicely to most domestic carrier's size requirements, at just 14" wide. It fit's perfectly on its side in the overhead bin. This bag is beautifully constructed and very sturdy. The wheels glide through airports like a dream, and I love the ability to pack the bag, close it up, then compress the bag down to a depth of just 9". Plus it has the best warranty in the business -- a lifetime guarantee. You won't find any bag with a better warranty.

Great Quality, Flexible and Well Built Carry On
I took my first trip with this Briggs and Riley carry on. I opted for the (2) wheel as this is what I am used to. I was able to pack in a full 6/7 days of business casual clothing, extra shoes, jacket, etc. in this carry on and while it was full, it worked out great. The compressible side latches work very well. Everything seems very solid on the luggage. I was going to go with a competitor but decided not too as it seems all of their zipper hardware was failing. Not with this Briggs and Riley unit. Extended handle is solid, and the luggage maneuvered very well and fit just fine in the Overhead compartment of the Airliner. The luggage is a bit on the heavy side but I believe this is due to the solid construction. I have seen some complaints about rolling noise, but I did not notice anything unusual or loud with rolling the luggage at the airport, concrete, or other surfaces. It is a Keeper.

Over head air travel ready
I love my pricey, but feature packed bag. The garment compartment is really convenient! And I never worry about if the bag size is too big for the overhead plane compartment.

You Get What You Pay For, And I Don't Like To Overpay
I travel a lot for work, and I never check a bag. I appreciate classic styling, don't like fad brands and willing to pay extra for something that is built to last. This model does all that and then some. Having the periscope handles on the outside is a huge breakthrough and I don't know why others don't copy this move. Packs MUCH more than my previous (Away, TravelPro, Eagle Creek) carry ons, and I haven't even tested the expansion feature. It's everything you're looking for in a classic, durable, functional and beautifully made piece of luggage. The only slight ding is it's heavier and more expensive than my previous bags, but not enough of a ding to make this less than a 5 star review. I have zero regrets inve$ting in this lovely piece of kit.
