Install easy + I like the appearance and function, especially the fingerprint. I've got a couple of other devices that use fingerprint but they are very fussy about EXACT finger placement and give me a lot of trouble on occasion. Not so the Teeho. Build quality though, not so much. I'm replacing a 15 year old lock because the battery leads corroded (I live in Florida) and broke when I tried to replace the battery. That lock was built like a tank and was still mechanically perfect. It weighs 2-3 pounds, unlike the Teeho, which weighs a few ounces. Having been in the commercial construction biz for decades, when it comes to door hardware, I associate weight with quality. I'll see how long I'll get out of this but I'll bet it isn't 15 years. Edit: after two weeks, I like the function of this lock. The fingerprint reader is great, fast and trouble free. Some of the reviews on this product said it totally drained the batteries in a day or two. My fresh batteries were 1.59 Volts on installation and I just checked them at 1.58 Volts after 2 weeks. I'd have to try that again in another few weeks to accurately predict battery life because of rounding errors but a AA at 1.2 Volts is considered drained, and that's not going to happen with my unit in less than somewhere around a year. My batteries are Amazon Basics BTW, get some high end AA lithiums if you REALLY want extended battery life.

Exactly what I needed, and it works great! I’m surprised how well the fingerprint scanner works. It is accurate and fast. I think the only thing I don’t like is the way it locks, by pressing and holding any number button for a couple of seconds. It’s still not bad, I’m just used to my other lock that has a lock button. I like how the beeps can be turned off. It’s pretty quiet, works well, installs easily, is easily programmed, and a great price for what you get! I just hope it lasts…

Just installed today. Installation and setup was super quick and easy. Instructions were very clear and easy to understand. Feels very secure and sturdy. Good quality. We’ve already used it several times today and it works great!!! So much better than having to fidget with keys to lock and unlock the door when you get home. Idk why we didn’t buy these sooner. I’m not sure how long the battery life is yet so we’ll see. If it has a long battery life then this will have been one of the best purchases I have made. I installed one on my metal security door and the inner wooden door and fits and works perfectly fine on both.

*I’m increasing my rating from 3 to 4 stars because the company reached out to me and apologized for the problems I was having. First they offered a refund, then ignored that offer, sent a new unit instead. If they had provided the refund they initially offered I would have given 5 stars for excellent customer service in standing by their product. I would suggest to the company not to offer a refund then ignore it! I do consider myself lucky though to even get a replacement unit since I was well beyond the 30 day return window. So many others weren’t so lucky. Hopefully this new unit will perform better! ———————— This was great at first. It seems well made, is fairly easy to install (but we have done quite a few in the past), looks good, has simple controls and clear, easy to press manual buttons. But it locks way too fast and we have tried making the waiting time longer but it always seems to reset back to the minimum which is like five seconds, and the sequence of codes you have to enter to program this thing are ridiculous. If we don’t immediately close the door it will go crazy trying to lock over and over. It’s so annoying. It should have a bypass button, especially when you’re going to be in and out a lot working in the yard, etc. I was going to buy another one for our other door but not now. I want to note that we haven’t experienced the battery issues so many other reviewers have mentioned, and we’ve never been locked out due to malfunction!

***Initial Post---Things have changed! I am a typical man. I installed the lock reading little of the directions provided. When I got the lock installed I could not get the bolt to turn the right way. I thought it may have been an obstruction but it wouldn't move when the door was open. Turns out, all I needed to do was reset it. It is one of the last parts of the directions. Took me two days thinking about it and trying to figure it out. It is now installed and working great! 09-26-2024 I purchased this item in Jan of 2023. As read above, I had trouble with the installation as there was a technical issue within the electronics itself. Installation was sufficient. Once installed, lock worked fine. About a month ago my batteries ran out for the first time. I quickly replaced the batteries with top of the line Duracell lithium batteries only to have them die 3 days later. I thought it was odd and that may Duracell wasn't as good as a battery as it was priced. I finished out the pack of Duracell batteries and consistently had that problem so my thoughts about Duracell as a brand continued as I remembered that I had EverReadys in there prior to the initial battery change and they had lasted a long time. So I went back and bought the same type of battery I had before. 3 days later, batteries are dead. I reached out to Teeho for help and they gave me a list of things to do. The last on the list was to send them a picture of the battery holder without batteries so I followed the steps and it still didn't work. I sent over the picture and the response was basically they were sorry it stopped working but since it had been over a year since I purchased it there was nothing they could do. They did offer me a $10 refund but It felt more like a slap in the face. According to the reviews it seems that most of the locks work (at least initially) but for the ones that are faulty, Teeho does not stand behind them. It's a "we have our money, good luck."

Works well. Easy to install. Fingerprint technology works as expected. Really pleased with the lock and might install a few more on other perimeter doors on our property.

If youre looking for a combo/fingerprint lock and arent fixated in it being app controlled, then this thing its cheap, easy and perfect. I dont need or want my phone being able to unlock my door. I just needed the ability to press a code or use my fingerprint when I have my toddler, groceries, backpack, water bottles and whatever else I have to carry all at once and not have to try to fumble my keys around at the same time.

We installed 4 of these locks a couple of months ago, 3 of them are used daily. I'll start with what I like: 1. They were pretty easy to install. Tip: there are a few good videos on YouTube 2. They are fairly easy to program. 3. All 4 are working they way they are supposed to/as advertised. 4. Auto-lock! I LOVE that they auto-lock (optional) and you can set how quickly (with limitations). 4. The price point/value was very good for the product. 5. The buttons are great. They are easy to read, backlit, stick out so you actually push them in (better for me than a flat surface you push) and just the right spacing for my fat fingers. 6. They come with 2 keys vs. 1. Neutral, but FYI: The reader won't recognize your fingerprint if your finger is even a bit dirty, greasy, or your skin has been in water for a while. This is actually OK with me as it's easy enough to put in the code and I would rather have it picky then let in a "close enough match," but I believe it could be improved and still accurate. What I don't like - and why I wouldn't recommend/buy them again: - First off I want to say I appreciate that the company's description seems honest and accurate, and wish I would have done my research first, so I gave 4 of 5 stars. 1. These locks have an ANSI rating of 3, which is the lowest passing grade for a dead bolt. It is indeed passing, or "good," but 2 is "better" and 1 is "best." There are several elements to the ratings, but as an example a 3 is rated to stand up to 2 strikes at 75 lb.s of force, a 1 is rated to stand up to at least 10 strikes at 75lbs. (Big difference if someone is trying to hammer your lock or kick in your door.) I bought these to improve home security and would have passed if I had understood grading before purchasing. 2. Keys are a great backup feature and you may want them, but they do lower the security is venerable to being picked. Again, if I had done my research beforehand, I would have skipped on a keyless lock that had an option for keys. This is probably preference as if it's your only entry and the battery goes out or it fails, you probably want the key option. 3. The time delay for the auto-lock is up to 99 seconds. I love the auto-lock feature, especially because I have an adult child who sometimes comes in the house after me and forgets to lock the darn door. However, when we are up and about, it's a pain for it to relock in 99 seconds, especially in our back yard where we also have a locked gate someone would have to get through. When I go outside to pick something up or bring in a dog... it often relocks before I get back in. It's not a huge issue, but it is annoying when my hands are full. For our needs, having a longer option would have been much preferred.

Picked out this lock because of the price (was on sale) - but also because I appreciated the simple functionality and look. Had it for about a week now and so far I'm loving it! Installation was very easy - just a screwdriver needed to swap out some screws. (I've never changed a deadbolt out before). The instructions that come with it are pretty easy to follow along with to get it set up for the first time. Only took a few minutes. I love that you can program it to have multiple codes, as well as multiple fingerprints. The fingerprint reader works very well - always registering first try and opening very quickly. Super helpful for the kids so they don't need to carry a key, remember codes, or even have to wrestle with getting the reader to work. Deadbolt turns very smoothly - and this is actually one of the quietest electronic locks I've ever had/used. When I turn the beeping/sound function off - I can barely hear that it's unlocking for me. The construction of the device is decent - but matches the price point. Thin metal exterior, and all plastic interior. My understanding is that there are some spool pins in the tumbler to provide some resistance to quick picking. So far, I'm very happy with this choice. Function wise - I love it way more than all of the more expensive electronic locks I've had on homes. We'll have top wait and see how long it takes before breaking down!
