Works great, needs batteries to operate.
We get deliveries, so I put this motion sensor near the door to alert me when we have a delivery. Works great. It even discourages burglars because it makes noise when you approach the front door. The thing I like (and dislike) is that the sensor needs batteries to operate. I like that because I don't need to run an electric cord. I don't like that because periodically you have to change the batteries when it stops working. Overall it was the right choice.

Perfect product
This is PERFECT for my needs. I mounted the sensor at the top corner of my front door, pointed it to the ground so my plants wouldn't trigger it in the wind, then plugged in the speaker, made my settings, and it works perfectly. It's got 38 (!) different sounds including a synthesized voice that says "How are you? Open the door!" I chose just the usual "Bing-bong" because everyone knows what it means, including someone who shouldn't be at my front door. Build quality is excellent. Eash-peasy to install (you could use a good double-sided foam tape) and I was up and running in less that 10 minutes!

The chime is loud.
I bought this motion sensor to alert me when my dogs go in and out through the dog door. It works well and chimes every time. I do not like the tone(s), however. Since the volume is adjustable, I was hoping for a soft, inconspicuous chime, but even the lowest volume is jarring, and there is no single chime tone. Most of the tones are long excerpts from songs, and the shortest one is a two-tone doorbell. Even though it works well, it is not what I was hoping for, so I cannot give it 5 stars.

Nice unit
This motion detector is super sensitive to motion. I made a little house-like structure to keep the rain off of it but also to focus the infrared to a specific area. I am pretty sure the factor setting in at 160 degrees of sensitivity. By making the little structure I have pictured I narrowed down the hot zone. It works like a charm now. Before I was getting a lot of false hits which was annoying but now that is all but gone. Occasional birds flying by will trigger the alarm so be advised. You can install this anywhere like on a fence post (like me) or on a tree or wherever. The range is easily 200 feet that I’m working with and works well. I recommend this.

Works Great!
I mounted this near the front door of my barber shop. There is an outlet nearby so I'm using the plug instead of batteries. It works very well. The receiver is in a separate room about 25 ft away from the motion detector. The volume can be set to three different levels. The middle one works great for me. It's all wireless and very simple to use and install. The receiver lights up bright blue and plays a tone of your choice, from a simple doorbell sound to a variety of different songs, which you select by simply pressing a button until it comes to the one that you want. I use it when I'm sitting in my break room and turn it off when I go back to the work area. I definitely would recommend this product.

Perfect alert for front door.
We ordered this as so often packages are delivered and no one bothers to ring the door bell. We haven't had a problem with package pirates, but I'd still like to be forewarned when someone comes to the door. We have an entry way, so after reading the previous comments, we decided to mount it on the wall so it faces the other wall of the entryway, with the sensor running in front of the front door instead of facing out toward the street. This way, we don't get motion alerts from the sidewalk or street and set the detector off when someone drives by or walks on the sidewalk. So far, in the last few hours, we have had two packages delivered and the alert works perfectly.

Junk! Do not buy.
After 7 months of use, this door chime stopped working. I can see the motion activated light up but no sound coming from receiver though the receiver lights flash constantly. Do not waste your money. The company does not honor their 1 year guarantee. I tried reaching out to the manufacturer via Amazon thru email but they didn’t even bother responding. I’m left with a useless piece of junk that’s going in the trash.

El Cheapo, but I am having good luck with it.
Range, sensor to receiver, can be surprisingly long (a very good thing) when line of sight between the two is unobstructed . . . . In my case, having the sensor (mounted at the mailbox, 135 feet from the front door) ping the receiver and trigger a chime, successfully, on about ninety percent of vehicle or pedestrian "passes," has proven to be very useful. Because of the luck I've had with the unit, I actually ordered a second set . . . which leads me to an odd anecdote about THAT one! The receiver on the second set has a funny little trick, whereby it occasionally re-sets its chime tone, from whichever I have set it to (most of them are irritating, Chinese-sounding nursery tunes), to its factory default. Weird. I end up re-resetting it about once a month.
