MyMap Scratch Off World Map Wall Poster with US States, 35x25 inches, Includes Pins, Buttons and Scratcher, Glossy Finish, Black with Vibrant Colors, (Silver)

This is a gift for Christmas so I can't review yet on how well it scratches off. I'll try to remember to revisit this review once it's been used. I have opened and inspected it to make sure there were no defects. It looks great. The black has a shine and there are little accessories that go with it. I looked at other maps on amazon that were a bit more pricey that are made of plastic and would lay flat. This is NOT going to do that. It will curl up on you. This had a younger vibe so I went with it. It is nice. Besides the fact the it will curl up on you, my only real complain is that it's an odd size... I wanted to get this framed... If you want a uniform fit you will have to get a custom frame... I went to Micheal's and my framing options were from $150 to over $600 to frame it O.O!!!! (wtf Micheal's?) You can't mount it either because that could damage the scratch surface. I REALLY wish it was a more common size for frames. I ended up buying a 27X40 frame because nothing else had a protector to keep it in place (like glass or plastic). For me, it was so difficult to find a frame.

The Good: This map is great quality- and the only one I could find with black and silver. I LOVE the colors! It also comes with really cool little extras- like scratchers, pins and a little paper-cutout-guy you can take with you on your travels.The Bad: The size! Most frames in the US are 24X36. And this is 25X35. So if you're in the US (and slightly OCD) you might be making your own frame. Also (very nitpicky) but I would LOVE for the states to be in different colors. They're ALL blue. Some of the states aren't quite accurate and have weird acronyms. And finally there's a picture of the paper-cutout-dude on the actual map, making it look a little childish.All in all it's a great map and I definitely recommend it as a gift for a travelling kid or young adult. However, my girlfriend and I are both flight attendants and looking for something we could frame and display in the living room of all the places we've been together. And while the quality is awesome and it looks pretty good- this just ain't it. It's just a little too much work to frame, and a little too childish for us.

I bought this as a gift for a family member that loves to travel. It came rolled up in a cardboard tube just as expected. It looks really nice, but if you wanted to frame it that may be difficult to do. It’s 25 x 35 in. and I don’t think that’s a standard frame size.

We really are loving this product. Great feel, nice tool that comes with it. Definitely keep the piece of felt to help wipe away the residue left from scratching. However, we noticed all the states are labeled, except for the tiny ones on the east coast where a name won't fit and the northernmost one, simply labeled "USA". Wondering if a Texan made this map and wanted to deny the existence of a state 2.5x larger than it. Things may be "Bigger in Texas", but only if you don't count landmass. For the rest of you non- Texans, that would be Alaska. And, no, we don't all live in igloos.

Awesome map. great quality! I took off one star for the dimensions. It does not fit the standard poster frame dimensions so I had to cut an inch off the one side (width) and put a black mat behind it to fill out the length of the frame. I took off the plastic cover that would typically protect/cover posters so that I could hang this on the wall and continue to scratch off locations without removing it from the frame. I would definitely buy again as a gift because it is so cool.

I love the cool silver color of this map. The sellers customer service is also very helpful and responsive. It's very large and exactly as pictured. Comes with pins, a scratch pic, and a bunch of stickers. It comes rolled but is easy to flatten out

Nice map but it is very difficult to scrape off, took away a star for that.

Love this map, it's a constant reminder for my husband and I to save up and travel more, so we can scratch off places on the map.One thing I didn't like was the size of the map, as it's hard to find a frame that will fit the map perfectly.

The map is actually inaccurate as it's missing the Great Lakes! Look at the attached picture, there are so many things wrong there. 1. No Great Lakes. 2. The shape of Ontario, Quebec, Michigan, all wrong. 3. Montreal isn't in ON. 4. OH and PA doesn't touch ON.The makers of this scratch map may want to actually double-check what a real map looks like.I can see this scratch map may be a good item for kids. But for anyone who actually cares that a map of the world should be accurate, this isn't it. One positive is it's easy to scratch off.

Great map, nice design but because of its size i wouldn't bring this with me while i travel. Just scratch it when i get back home. Makes a great gift for traveling adicts

I like the size of the map.I with the individual states in the United States were different colours.Great gift idea for your favourite world traveler!!
