Love it
Been using the device for couple weeks now. Works great. Easy to install and does as described. It duplicates the image to another screen. Which is what I want add I use for my projector. We watch a bunch of movies at night and so rather than having to unhook the vga cable from my monitor every time I want to watch a movie I can just leave it cable hooked up now.I do want to point out that you read the description because it took me a min to find this....... As I'm blind because it's easy to find now that I look for it..... If you have a monitor that's 19in or smaller get the 250mhz device. Anything bigger get the 450mhz device. Yes it does make a difference. I tried the 250 on a 21in monitor and yes it works the picture just comes out slightly fuzzy though at first glance you can't tell just makes you think your eyes are tired. So anything bigger than 19in monitor get the 450mhz device. Overall very pleased with it.

Does the job I wanted it to do
Did what I wanted. My Lenovo (POS) All-in-one at work was awful, and I had given away my splitter setup to another teacher. I asked my bookkeeper to get me another (Kramer model), but, as usual, nothing, when I got back from the summer. So, looked up items that would match my new HP 27" monitor, and it's resolution. Found this unit, and decided to give it a try.Lo and behold... perfect!!! Worked awesomely with my new monitor (which rocks), PC, and wall-to-ceiling-projector connection.Bottom line... I'm very, very happy with this little splitter. Did exactly what I wanted it to do. Even though I had reservations about running it on USB power... it's humming along wonderfully. Gotta admit... I like this little guy. Might even tell my staff to forgo the forever and a day acquisition process my district runs, and just quickly get this one. Does what my campus needs, and at a MUCH better price.Happy camper.

I was disappointed that there was not a power adapter to go ...
Overall the product is decent and does the job. I was disappointed that there was not a power adapter to go along with the splitter. There is only a usb cord that plugs into the splitter and then you either have to plug into the pc or provide your own power adapter to power the base. I work from home so my work computer is sensitive about having other things plugged into it. I now I have to provide a power adapter for it.

Blurry Screen. Does not support Extended Display
This product does what it says it will. The image on my main computer screen was duplicated/mirrored on the 2nd computer screen but the 2nd screen was very blurry. I wasn't sure if it was the splitter or the vga cable I have so I disconnected the cable that was attached to the splitter, and hooked it up to directly to the 2nd screen and the picture quality was perfect. So it was definitely the splitter causing the issue.I do not recommend purchasing. Also this product should not be purchased if you want to have a different image, website etc on different screens because this product doesn't do that

This thing saved me and great price!
I was at wits end with Windows 10 and could not duplicate my computer screen anymore after a recent update. So I looked for something to split the screens and found this item. This product came in 2 days from Amazon for $12.88 and I hooked it up with some cables I had and nothing. I was so bummed. Only the computer to monitor worked, and not to my 42" TV. Cables were just some old stuff I had laying around. So, back on Amazon and ordered a 20 foot vga to vga cable for $10.88 more, it came the next day. Fingers crossed, I hooked it up to this device and my TV and BAM! Both screens worked! Screw Windows 10, I have 2 screens again to watch things from my computer on. So happy with this product! Went from 1366x768 computer screen to 1080 TV screen set on vga. Very happy I found this item, thank you JideTech!! Remember people, this item will only duplicate your computer screen.

One unexpected setup quirk, slightly below expected performance, but decent for the price
The downside to having a reputation as a tech-savvy person is that EVERYONE at some point will ask for help. Actually, that's not a downside, since I like to help, but it does get bad when THOSE people then offer your services to their friends/family/coworkers. Post-DVI, I would never have imagined that I would have need for a VGA splitter, but this is where one of those downlevel favors comes in....Someone (not anyone I knew directly), had need to take a chintzy, all-in-one security DVR, and replicate the video feed to the owner's office. The DVR is sitting on top of the breakroom cabinets, as is the rest of the SOHO Internet access equipment, PBX, etc. The setup isn't great, as a cheap TN monitor is sitting 9 feet off the floor. Installation of this item consisted of removing the VGA cable from the monitor, and running it to the "in" of the splitter. The cheap TN monitor was then attached to the "out 1" of the splitter. If the capabilities of the monitors aren't the same, you should probably put the lesser monitor on the "out 1", since that's where the DCC information comes from. The power cable from the splitter was a little bit of a surprise... it was just a USB cable, but it did not have a power supply! This was not an issue in my case, as I just plugged it in to a nearby cable modem, but it's just something you should keep in mind. The "out 2" was attached to a VGA balun (also purchased and reviewed on Amazon). If you're not familiar with baluns, they will generally convert from an interface type (VGA/DVI/HDMI/etc.) to something else (COAX, CAT5/6, etc.). The balun I used converts from VGA to a single CAT5/6. This, along with 50 feet of CAT5e allowed me to get to the proper run location for the second monitor. In operation, the setup works fine. The video quality wasn't great in the first place, and it got a little worse with the splitter. The unpowered balun degraded the video slightly, too. I tried to avoid the fluorescent ballasts in the drop-ceiling, but it's possible that the slight video pulsing was induced from the light fixtures. If I had to estimate, I'd say that the video quality dropped from an initial 100% to 98% on 'out 1', and 90% on 'out 2'. I'm not talking about major ringing/ghosting/etc., but more of a general softness and minor analog artifacts. My only other VGA splitting experience comes from classroom and signage applications that are from 4x to 24x... equipment way more expensive than this. For what it costs, the item seems to perform well enough.I would never recommend VGA for a serious video application, but if it's your only choice this product should be adequate.
