Q: is it 100% BPA free? Is it ANY TOXIC MATERIALS FREE?

BPA is found in polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins and this dehydrator is essentially made out of 100% Stainless Steel excluding the motor and a few Regualar Steel parts in the back fan part of the unit.This unit is also ETL Approved which has just as stong of a testing lab as UL, so if it had any type of Toxic Materials in it, it would not have passed the test.Regards,SashaCustomer Service TechThe Mercantile Station

Q: The description describes 1/4 inch square stainless steel drying trays. However the picture shows a mesh-like drying tray. Which is it? and is it ss?

Thank you for reaching out and asking about our STX International 1200W Dehydra Food Dehydrator! The holes in the trays used to be 7/8 inch, but customers continued to request smaller holes. We currently have trays that have 1/4" holes with our product (this is also what is pictured that looks more like mesh).
