Love it, wonderful ingredients
Love it, wonderful ingredients, nice texture, no fragrance. The vitamin C in this is stable and non-irritating. I got my husband to use this and even though he is a no frills kind of guy, he loves this too! He struggles with oily skin and some redness. It evened the tone and seemed to improve texture for him, so he is converted. It wears decently under sunscreen and makeup, though if applied too thickly it can pill. Very nice product that will visibly improve tone, texture and even hyperpigmentation. I saw results within a week of using. My husband noticed almost immediately results for himself. I store this in the refrigerator to keep it fresh. The ingredients and results are superior to luxury brands many times more expensive, so it's an excellent value product. My one small gripe is that this product is supposed to be good to use for about a month, however, even with liberal 2x daily by two people, I find it hard to go through a bottle in a month.

Unable to to use whole bottle
Unfortunately, I was unable to use the entire bottle of this serum as I noticed it caused me to breakout, however, it does give an amazing brightening effect and is moisturizing BUT it also caused clogged pores. Initially I thought it was a purging period however after removing it from my regimen all of the clogged pores disappeared; once I added it back into my routine the clogged pores started coming back. So sad that this happened as I noticed so many lovely reviews could not wait to use this product. I used it for approximately 4 weeks and could no longer deal with the clogged pores; even my aesthetician noticed and told me that “whatever you are doing stop it because the amount of clogged pores on your face is alarming” being that I don’t get clogged pores but more so a few small pustules during my time of the month.

Amazing product for a great price!
My skin is super sensitive, and I tried two other brands that were supposed to be good for sensitive skin before this one and they still made me break out. My next stop was going to be Skinceuticals, which is high quality but also extremely expensive. Luckily I tried this one first, because it gives amazing results for a very reasonable price and doesn’t irritate my skin like the others. It’s made fresh and I keep it in the fridge so it stays clear. It makes my skin noticeably brighter and helps repair environmental damage at the end of the day. I’ve also used it on sunburn and acne scars, and it helps them heal faster. I don’t have to feel bad about using a lot of it because it isn’t costing me $5 a drop like a lot of other beauty products. I strongly recommend this product!

A few DIY tweaks to hopefully optimize the skin healing benefits of this serum
After years of not paying attention to my skin, I've been noticing that I'm starting to develop fine lines on my forehead. Now that I'm noticing the lines, I've also started to notice other problems including hyper pigmentation from sun exposure and old acne, as well as overall skin dehydration. After I got over being freaked out about these visible signs of aging, I've been working on creating a skin care regimen to address these issues.Vitamin C has a strong evidence base in terms of improving skin health. I've investigated DIY vitamin C formulations, and while I'm eventually going to head in the DIY direction, gathering the raw materials, containers, and measurement devices is pretty expensive. NuFountain's C20 + Ferulic is a good alternative. One of the biggest drawbacks about vitamin C serums are that they rapidly oxidize. The NuFountain formulation contains Ferulic acid which synergistically works with vitamin C to protect against oxidation in the skin, however other, more expensive formulations additionally contain vitamin E and an accompanying emulsifier. Vitamin E is an oil soluble antioxidant that stabilizes and works synergistically with water soluble vitamin C to help retard oxidation. IMHO I'm thinking the vitamin E has not been added to the NuFountain formulation because the more expensive products have patented the C+E+ferulic acid + pH range combination that is most bioavailable. NuFountain's formulation hits all the targets except the vitamin E addition, but I can work with that.Since I'm a DIYer at heart, I've made a few changes to help with the oxidation problem. The first thing I've done is wrapped the bottle with aluminum foil to decrease light exposure as much as possible. Another change I've made is I've added a few drops of a vitamin E containing oil to the top of the bottle. Since there is no emulsifier, I haven't bothered shaking it - the oil is just to create a barrier between the serum and air. (I think a few drops of mineral oil might be even more effective, as mineral oil is inert and non-comedogenic, but that's a DIY aside). When it comes time to apply the serum (right after I've washed my face with a gentle non-dehydrating cleanser) I put a few drops of my vitamin E containing oil onto the palm of my hand, then add a few drops of the NuFountain vitamin C serum, then swirl them together, and then apply to my face with my fingertips.Other reasons why I like this formulation:-I have sensitive skin that reacts poorly to lemon\orange\other citrus extracts that smell good and are often added to other formulations. The NuFountain formulation doesn't contain any of these extra fragrances or ingredients that will irritate my skin.-It contains L-ascoborbic acid, which is the form of vitamin C which has been studied the most in terms of benefits to the skin. Many of the other companies formulations that can be found on Amazon.com contain less well studied forms of vitamin C and their efficacy has not been established.-The pH formulation is optimized so that the L-ascorbic acid is bioavailable.-It's a stand alone product that I can work into my overall skincare layering system (i.e. I'm taking my cue from Korean skincare tips).Note: I paid for this product myself and was not sponsored or asked to write a review!References: Lin, Fu-Hsiung, et al. BEWARE of THE SUN when you use this.
I honestly thought this product was too good to be true because when I used it my skin looked absolutely incredible. All winter I had beautifully clear even skin tone and my skin seemed to almost glow it was insane.BUT I wish someone would have warned me how photosensitive this stuff makes your skin. Because on the first sunny day of spring even with 60spf on my face I got huge brown sun spots that still won't go away after 4 months of trying. I stopped using the serum immediately after I realized what it was doing and even after months my skin is still very sun sensitive. WOMP
