Convenient and well-designed overland kitchen setup
This overland kitchen slide-out system is a really convenient setup for camping and vehicle-based travel. The design makes it easy to turn the back of an SUV into a functional cooking and prep area without needing to carry multiple separate tables and kitchen gear. The slide-out feature works smoothly and makes access simple once everything is loaded in the vehicle. Setup is quick and straightforward, and it doesn’t take long to go from packed away to a full cooking station. The included prep areas, sink, and storage options make it easy to organize utensils, cooking tools, and food while keeping everything within reach. The folding table and cooking area provide a good amount of workspace for meal prep, and the overall layout is practical for camping trips, overlanding, or car camping. It’s also nice having designated spots for things like utensils and paper towels so everything stays organized instead of scattered around camp. Build quality feels solid and designed with outdoor use in mind. It’s clear this system was made to maximize space while still giving you a functional camp kitchen setup.

It’s a marvel!
I bought this last winter and at the start of summer, opened the box and assembled it in my living room with the instruction video on my TV’s Youtube. I took the time to watch the whole thing, then restart it and pause/assemble. It’s the first time I have NOT (in spite of years of Ikea-type diy experience) bungled a single step. I thought I’d be lost without paper instructions but this video (from the scanned 2022 code - there are older, less smooth versions ) is really good. If you have a good driver and the right hex bit for the one-size hefty screws, you could do it in a half-hr. If you’re puttering around, looking for misplaced bits, breaking for a snack, organizing all of your screw and drill bits while you’re at it, misplacing a screw in the process, and taking 20 minutes to figure out why the smallest section isn’t quite closing flush (I reached in and pushed and pulled the rails and it did eventually fit just right)… Even then it’s difficult to take more than a couple hours. It just tickles me to no end. The design is so beautifully engineered and assembly is so well planned. It is sturdy wood, not fiberboard. The hardware is hefty and the drawer slides are buff. It feels solid and looks awesome. And it comes with a sturdy collapsible sink, a handy drawer, 2 strong tie-downs for strapping it down to your suv/van/pickup bed, a sweet, solid-feeling telescoping post to support the extended stove section, and a hex key for the big screws. (The pilot holes are smooth and aligned but my drill wasn’t always strong enough to finish driving the last quarter-inch, quickly done using the hex key.) It would be nice to have the hex bit included, but that’s a quibble. All screws are the same size except for four small phillips head used to attach a brace to the underside of the stove section for screwing in the ground post. Kudos to the designers and sellers. I was able to buy it at $352, and it has since gone up but is still attainable relative to other companies’ custom numbers at two to four times the price. And it was delivered ahead of schedule. Can’t wait to try it out this month.

Organization for boondocking/overlanding or RV/Van life
COVID-19 pandemic accelerated my curiosity to go boondocking/overlanding -- the activity that has you go find public/free land to go camp without any amenities offered. You bring and pack out everything with your car, including sleeping in, on, or near your vehicle. The chore of unpacking and re-packing can be annoying at times, and so having an organized setup helps a LOT with enjoyment. This is the first Shiwagin product I have purchased after a recommendation from the boondocking group. The box arrived partially torn and made me instantly worry about the content. Did FedEx mess up my camp kitchen? Thankfully, the content arrived in good condition except for a few scratches on some of the board pieces. Assembly instructions were not included besides a QR code. Scanning that code took me to a YouTube video of a man showing step-by-step how to put everything together -- except he forgot to mention a crucial first step: align all the boards' holes so they face the back (as shown in one my photos). Otherwise, you'll have to take it all apart and start over like I did. The remaining steps were easy to follow until the very final one where you assemble the last pull-out drawer (on which the propane burner would go). I nearly panicked thinking the head piece was incorrect, but after some careful inspection, I got it right. The final product was very heavy, but also very sturdy. Solid wood here! When you inspect the cutouts for the "sink" hole, you will find that they were hand cut as they are a bit rough. Does not detract that it still is a well-built cabinet. Excellent kit to have in my van for our next boondocking trip!

Kitchen Slide-out + SUV = poor man's version of a tear drop trailer.
As an avid car camper, this kitchen slide-out system is a great addition to my camping set up. If I recall correctly, the written instructions and drawings were not helpful. It was easy to assemble once I found an instruction video. I can't remember if it was provided or if I found it on YouTube. It's well made. The slide-outs and locks work well. The built-in, collapsible bucket sink is a nice touch. The single Gas One camp stove is also great to use and there's plenty of room to store other cooking tools on the same drawer. The attached D-rings, that they thoughtfully included, are also well made. Overall, it's an esthetically pleasing and very functional camping solution.

If you're an outdoor enthusiast like me, you'll understand the importance of convenience and functionality when embarking on thrilling journeys. My recent encounter with the OverLanding Kitchen for SUV surpassed all expectations and elevated my camping experiences to new heights. The first thing that struck me was the impeccable precision and attention to detail in its design. Crafted with utmost care, this kitchen exudes elegance and durability. The quality of wood used is truly exceptional, ensuring its resilience against harsh weather conditions and the test of time. The thoughtfulness in choosing materials shines through, guaranteeing a long-lasting companion on my adventures. What sets the OverLanding Kitchen apart is its innovative three-fold collapsible feature. The ease with which it transforms from a compact structure to a fully-functional kitchen is truly impressive. Setting it up is a breeze, allowing me to indulge in my culinary delights with minimal effort. Additionally, the smooth sliding mechanism adds to the overall user experience, making it hassle-free to access all its compartments. The inclusion of a side drawer is a brilliant touch, adding that extra touch of convenience. It provides ample space for storing utensils, spices, and other essentials, keeping everything organized and readily accessible during my trips. The owner's kindness and willingness to go the extra mile truly won my heart. They provided insightful guidance on how to make the best use of the OverLanding Kitchen and offered useful tips for maintaining its pristine condition. It's rare to come across such exemplary support, and it left an indelible impression on me.

Bad assembly photos
A good product! It would be better if the support legs folded up. The instructions we underexposed and hard to see in black and white photos. Work on your instructions!

Easy, efficient, essential camp kitchen
Owned and used for over a year. The wood in the previous year is solid. I used wood glue with the screws provided to increase the structure’s hold on rougher roads. I did build a floating base for it to sit on for two reasons. To make room for the sleeping pad, but more importantly so the cook shelves could freely slide out without getting caught on the door lip. This does bring the cook area up to a more comfortable height as well. I tried my two burner camp stove, however it fit but burned the sides a bit after extended use. I bought a single burner and haven't had issues. Although I don't use the sink much it's nice to have the option. I added corner foam pieces to help prevent damage. There's a lot of DIY possibilities. The current price is a bit steep, but so is the price of wood. I get a bunch of compliments on it and enjoy how efficient it is.

The drawers have locks so they don't fly forward when setting up or putting away.. USE THEM!
Watch the video to put this together.... It makes it so much easier and goes step by step. Once spread out it is very much front heavy. Keep a lot of weight on top as you are setting it up or putting back together. Make SURE that the drawers are in a locked position before removing the weight from on top of the unit. The drawers weren't locked after I removed the pole....and they came flying out causing the 2 front sections of the unit to fly forward on my head along with a 35 can case of Coke.. (I was bent over trying to secure it.) Not the units fault!!!! We solved the need for the Coleman stove canister holder not fitting, by Getting a longer hose and connecting to a canister below. Some folks are putting holes into the main box. You can also put the stove sideways. Wrap the stove into your dish towels to prevent rattling. Put dish rags and soaps or sponges into the sink. We built a base under the unit so that the drawers would slide out over the van lip. Lots more storage there, too. Looks good, works well, and is sturdy.

Campingküche für den Einsteiger
Das zusammenbauen klappte Problemlos da es eine Vidioanleitung dazu gibt. Der Fuß wäre besser wenn er Stufenlos verstellbar wäre.

Excellent packaging and product
Extremely well packed for delivery in extreme weather. Nothing damaged inside the box. I put it together while watching the video a few times. Pretty straight forward with one type of bolt and 4 screws to assemble with an allen key and phillips screw driver that are included. Happy to have two legs for this setup because it's a solid wood build so it's got some weight. Cheaper and better than what I can make and looks great.
