Great device for sore backs.
Gets those hard to reach spots in your back. This allows you to hit those spots by yourself and get some relief.

A godsend
I have terrible muscle spasms in my back that are so bad they've been reversing the curvature of my neck. This allows me to dig right into all those nasty knots and release them. Because it's leverage based I don't have to apply that much pressure to dig in either, and most importantly: I don't have to keep asking people to massage my back! This thing is nice and sturdy. It's easy to swap between S and C configurations. If I had any complaints It's that I feel like those straight bits could stand To be a bit longer. But that's just nit-picking. I've been recommending this to anyone I know who's got back pain. 10/10 well worth the money.

Better than I expected
I use this mostly to dig into my sore shoulders and neck. There is really only one knob on the thing that is ideal for this, but it feels really good. It's a big, bulky thing, and has more flex in the middle part than I'd like, plus it's not portable since once you snap it together, it's not going to be easy to get it apart (design flaw). And there is no good knob spacing to do both sides of the back of my neck. Overall, it's too expensive for what I use if for, but it does work satisfactorily for my comfort.

Great do it yourself help for trigger points
I've have two episodes of severe back and arm issues after making 4 to 5 hour drives, which subsequently required Physical Therapy. This "theracane" was recommended for me by PT to reach areas that I couldn't reach in my back around my shoulder blades that required massaging and acupressure. This gadget was fantastic at relaxing trigger points! I wish I had known about it a long time ago! What I especially like about this particular brand is that it consists of two pieces that are screwed together. When separated, they can easily fit into a suitcase, so I'll definitely be bringing this along on all my trips now.

Functional
This has too many things sticking out of it and it's not particularly sturdy. It does the job with some contortions. I'm looking for one that's more like the one my physical therapist has. Simple and sturdy.

Much better than I was expecting!
I have a situation called "hypnic jerk", whereas sometimes when I am falling asleep at night, a nerve in my back will jump keeping me awake. There is vno cure for this. The only thing I can do is press that nerve area for a little while and it may or may not stop. Depending on where it is happening at the moment, sometimes it's impossible to reach. This massage stick is a life saver and allows me to press and tap on any area on my back. This definitely helps some of my nights go easier! 5 Stars 100% !!!!

Hollow plastic but pretty sturdy
This review is for the purple Trigger Point Massager Tool-GOHIKING Neck and Back Massager Handheld, Manual Self Massage Tool. Sold by: WILD DISCOVERY & HUNTING Return eligible for 30 days. Paid $19.99 in June of 2022. I have a metal Theracane that I have used for years and it will probably last forever. I recently misplaced it so I purchased this one to tide me over. It was only 20 bucks so I was not expecting it to be as sturdy as my metal one-piece and it is not. However, I do like the extra knobs on this one and will likely use it more often than the other. It is made of two pieces of hard plastic that slide together and then are held in place with a screw-in knob. I would recommend this and if it lasts a couple of years I would purchase it again.

Defective product
My brother has buddy that i tried out a few years ago and finally decided to order one. His was a single piece, this was a two piece that snaps together. Unfortunately it doesnโt snap together, like it should. I also like the original Buddy wasnโt made of medal unlike this one. I will be returning this item.

Solid. Great quality

Takes some practice to learn how to use it effectively without hurting yourself.
Some instructions would be useful on using it properly.

Acurate description can be smaller in size
Overall durable and accurate in description. Could have been smaller like 15-20cm less length

All EDSers should have one!!
I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hypermobility type) and this is my new favourite device to release trapped nerves & grind into tense, knotted muscles. Woke up today with my suprascapular nerve zapping unhappily, but no joints felt incorrect in the area, so I knew I had popped something out & back in during sleeping, trapping the nerve in the process. Normally it takes a few days until the joint goes out again, or the nerve gets itself free, before the pain ends. I commonly get this particular body zone having issues when brushing my teeth or my hair. Today I used this trigger point massager around the scapula & the trapezius before I went for my shower, and hitting the right spot midway down the scapula edge, the muscle moved & felt like a sausage rolling on the worktop & the nerve pain instantly disappeared. Went for my shower and could feel the joint being unstable, one minute move & it would slide out again. Voltoral gel, a hot water bottle & rested for the day, but I thought I'd share incase anyone else has problems with shoulders (or any other body part) that needs a trigger point massage/manipulation to release muscles. Particularly useful for fellow zebras! ๐ฆ (obvs refer to your physician for any new treatment/symptoms and having basic anatomy knowledge will help to pinpoint target areas, but it does come with a small information/instruction leaflet)

Absolute life-saver
I seem to be full of tightness and trigger points, and have mostly tried to get by with just a foam roller and tennis ball up until now. I bought this mainly to help loosen up my rotator cuff, but have found myself using it almost everywhere โ triceps, biceps, calves, forearms... you name it! I've always struggled to release my chest in the past, but this works perfectly for that. The more pointy bits are especially useful when it comes to chest & forearms etc. I now only really use my foam roller for my back, quats and IT band... and doubt I'll ever need to bother using a tennis ball again
