It is Corsair ram so it had better be good!
Short review.Excellent memory, just buy it if it is what you need!Longer (mildly educational) review. As with so many things recently, the memory market is flooded with cheap RAM sticks from brands you have not heard of (nor me and I know my way round IT!) with outstanding reviews and excellent pricing.Save yourself some money and DO NOT buy those. The chances of the memory doing what it should, at the speeds it should and without (frequently weird) issues for the foreseeable future, are about the same as winning a sizeable amount on the lottery!Corsair have been in the computer market for a long time and make some seriously good stuff.Frequently that stuff is also blinkin' expensive!RAM is one of those areas where actually paying a little more over the other stuff is a good idea.Aside of Corsair, Samsung, Crucial and Kingston are also highly recommended.Choosing the correct RAM for your computer is not difficult.I recommend the Crucial system checker. It is a tiny program you download from the Crucial website (perfectly safe) and it will scan your system and tell you what memory you need - while telling you how much it costs from them directly.I recommend just making a note of the information and searching on Amazon as the prices are generally better. This particular purchase was for a work colleague's laptop, which was struggling to be effective with just 8gb RAM.Now, while you can run Windows 10 with 8gb RAM, it runs a whole lot more smoothly with 16gb.Don't even bother trying to run Windows 11 with 8gb unless you want to practice your stress management techniques!Installation was simple. Most laptops above very basic models, have 2 RAM slots and just one used.It is almost always found on the underside of the laptop and will simply require undoing 1 or 2 screws to remove the section covering the RAM. If unsure, youtube will be your friend here.It will only fit 1 way round and just a gentle push should have the clips on each side lock into place.I should add - please power down your laptop first! :)Once fitted, the laptop immediately detected it and booted up as normal.Colleague has since commented "it is like having a new laptop where I can do lots of things at once!"Thanks for reading and I hope you found this useful. :)

Excellent Performance and Value
Fantastic upgrade for my laptop! Installation was smooth and easy, and it instantly improved my system’s performance. Whether I’m gaming, multitasking, or running demanding applications, it handles everything with ease. The RAM runs reliably without any issues, and I’ve noticed faster load times and smoother performance overall. Corsair's quality is top-notch, and this product offers great value for the price. Highly recommend it if you’re looking to boost your laptop’s performance!

A simple and useful upgrade
I have a slightly battered HP laptop which was my son's one from school and recently started using it a bit more and wondered why it was a bit 'sedate', so checked out the available memory to discover it only had one 4GB SODIMM. So acquired this to boost the memory capacity and it took longer to open the laptop up than it did to fit it. It can't be inserted the wrong way round as its 'keyed' and it popped into the empty socket with no problems at all. Closed up the laptop case and booted it, the new memory immediately recognised and its been a bit quicker and more responsove since I fitted it. All in all a simple upgradw with an ideal product for the job.

Fitted to my HP Elitedesk 800 G4 mini, no problem
Fitted to my HP Elitedesk 800 G4 mini, no problem, though it does not recognise the manufacturer. Also it know that the sodimms are 3200mhz but because the motherboard only allows it they are only running at 2666mhz., that said, from my research, that is what I expected. At least I have not found a way to overcome that yet, but im still looking for a way. They are simple to fit, but as I am an experiance computer person, with more than 30 years of tinkering and upgrading PC's and laptops. starting with 386 processors with MSDOS 5.0 (I think, it was so long ago I for get the number) and windows 3.0 anyway it was 1991.Anyway I digress, for me they were plug and play. as my minidesk top is basicall a HP laptop without a display and keyboard/mouse, I cant see using them in a Laptop being a problem.NOTE for begineers, if you have never handled memory before.1, THESE ARE DDR4 you cant mix and match, you have to replace DDR4 with DDR4 make sure to check what is fitted to your laptop or PC before purchace.2, some older laptops need to have both memory slots filled, not just one!3, some older laptops need to have two identical sticks of memory in the memory slots,4, its not good practice to have memory sticks of diffent brands in your memory slots, its best to have them of identical specification from the same brand to prevent potencial memory glitches. even if your motherbaord does allows memory sticks of different sizes.5, put in as much memory as you can afford, this can help speed up your pc or laptop in my opinion, depending on what applications you are running.Unfortunately I can remember the days when 4 x 1 MB sticks of memory were costing as much as what I have just paid for 64GB!
