We love how lightweight this comforter is. It allows for ease of movement, but keeps us toasty. Much more comfortable and practical for us than a heavy quilt. It's reversible, too, and quite pretty on both sides.

Laura Ashley usually has nice bedding and this is no exception. It is generous in size, has a nice loft to it but not too bulky. It is a lovely green and white toile on one side and a nice green stripe on the reversible side. I was able to trick my husband into thinking it was a manly bedspread by putting the stripes on first. Then I made a cuff at the top showing the toile side. Soon spring will be here and the light and airy white with green toile will be on full view. My idea is in the winter the stripes can be showing more. Or maybe I will get a flannel duvet for it. You can tell this set will last a long time and it comes with extra coordinating shams and pillow covers and decorative pillows. It is so soft and comfortable - warm but not hot. This is a very nice value for all that it is. And it's a good thing it is such a flexible pattern so you never get tired of it. Washes and dries like a dream.

The media could not be loaded. I had been eyeing this for about a year. My bedroom was looking shabby and needed a complete makeover. I cleared out the room and painted the walls with Behr premium paint in the color "Watery". It's a beautiful blue/ grey. My bed is a queen so I ordered a king to ensure the comforter would drape over. The green in this set and the blue walls plus my lace curtains gave the room a fresh and beautiful look and feel. I also added a white bed skirt and 100% Percale cotton sheets from "Stitch and Feather (you HAVE to get!) In white. Cool spring comfort and In IN LOVE! The comforter is light but warm and very well made! Everything Laura Ashley makes is beautiful!! Don't hesitate, you'll LOVE IT!

This comforter surprised me, it's a good size (for a king) and looks stunning as a layering piece. It does require A LOT of fluffing and separation of the batting though (because it comes super vacuum sealed). If you expect it to look great out of the package, you'll be disappointed. But after working with it, it's soft and fluffy. The pillow shams are just okay; thin material with flap back closure. No pretty ties or anything fancy. They washed okay and didn't shrink up a ton. Sadly, the coordinating throw pillows are junk. Even after aggressive fluffing, they're wrinkly, lumpy, and flat all at the same time. They're sewn shut so the covers can't be washed (to remove wrinkles) and they can't be re-stuffed—they'll be going in the trash.

UPDATE:It was past the return date but just a few months into owning this set. My husband pulled the comforter up to go to bed and it ripped as easy as that. I was concerned about the thin material. It didn’t hold up for 6 months. I called the manufacturer; no one ever answered and no one ever returned my message. So disappointing. I have the matching curtains and shower curtain, and am out a comforter. Apparently this happens a lot.I don’t think the photos do this set justice. Just what I needed and was looking for! Found it looking for shower curtains (got that too). I had a custom made bedroom set from Country Curtains and just needed a refresh for spring. This was it! My room looks bright and airy—we feel like we’re sleeping at a B&B! I got the matching curtains, which I’m so grateful to Amazon for having all the pieces. I ironed the shams and pillow corners. The bedspread is a thinner cotton, and does get wrinkled, but for the price, I just don’t mind. Very happy!!

I love the pattern, but I have to agree with the previous reviewer. The material in the comforter is so thin that one wash on delicate cycle, in a new heavy duty washing machine- had the fabric ripped in three places.

This bedding was brought used for a lower price than normal. It arrived in perfect condition with everything inside and went beyond my expectations.
