No further questions, no sadness - it was a given that her beloved friend had gone off to the forest to hunt rabbits, and she cheerfully reminds us of this fact often. The illustrations though simple are well conceived. Every page shows a scene how we would see it at night in blacks and whites and the following page has how the cat can see it in color and additional aspects are revealed. The story is simple yet is written in language that will develop vocabulary.
