Accurate thickness but sheets are not flat!
You are better off spending $15-$20 more on the Precision Brand Carbon Steel Shim Stock on Amazon instead. It comes with more thicknesses and they are all super flat sheets.This item, on the other hand, while it has accurate thicknesses, the sheets are curved, not super flat. This makes it difficult, particularly for the thicker sheets (0.2mm-0.4mm), to use them when you know you need to shim exactly 0.2mm or exactly 0.3mm, because the bend in the sheet makes the shim uneven when you cut out a small piece.It may get the job done in basic low precision stuff, but I wanted to shim my rotary 4th axis. Wish I had just purchased the precision brand shim stock from the start.

Worked perfectly for what I needed
I needed to shim some connecting rod caps in a vintage engine, and ordered this assortment of shim stock. It came quickly and worked perfectly for what I needed. The shim stock allowed me to achieve the proper clearance and the engine rotates freely now. Very pleased with this purchase.

Let me decide what thickness was best for me
I want to chemical etch some parts in brass. I didn't know which thickness to get so I was able to dial in the best material for my application very quickly. Very happy with my purchase.

They measured right. But the were all cut from a coil, so they were curved. Not a big deal for me.
