I have a Mossberg M590 magazine fed 12ga shotgun, which I have I have had trouble finding a laser sight which works. The handle type seemed good, but apparently my pump action tube is smaller diameter than the standard 590, which has the shell inside the tube. So they are very too loose on my gun. My smaller pump handle is not M-lock style, so no mounting there. The fixed sights block barrel or pump tube clamps on the fore-end. Fixed sights block any type of rail mounts on top.So I was excited that this approach is so simple, that it had to work. Just provide several threaded adaptors, which would be cheap to make, and you are good to go. I messaged vendor who said it fit.However, none of the adaptor threads fit my threaded pump tube, and as mentioned by others, the knurled adapters were so large in diameter to cause major interference with the barrel, that it is impossible to fit. Machining on a lathe is more than minor adjustments. At any rate, threads are wrong. I hope they read this review, create some more adaptors, and I am sold. Provide a high power green laser mounted on an LED flashlight that fits on the fore-end of shotguns, and I would pay almost 3 times the price. I had to return.

I put this red dot on my tactical shotgun and it works great. Only thing to remember is that there is no remote switch so you must reach up near the muzzle to turn it on/off. So far after about 40 rounds of slug it’s stay on target, but I do have to retighten it once. I’m happy with it. So happy I bout another one.

Same exact problem as the other reviews stated they had with their mossberg 500.The outer ring is to large. If you absolutely forced it on then it would cross thread at best. Then also, the laser would be way off. If the barrel was parallel to the ground then the laser would point away from th barrel down tward the ground at about a 30 degree angle. Fail.If it didn't have the outer lip, it would probably work. It may be possible to gind the lip off.The laser itself is not impressive either. I have a $14 amazon laser and light that makes this laser look like junk.Over all, extremely not impressed in any category.

The Avanzue red laser will not fit on my Mossberg 500 shotgun due to an oversized crisscross patterned tightening ring. As the attached photo demonstrates, the screw cannot be tightened fully or further without potentially altering alignment of the barrel trajectory- I consider this a very serious danger that could explode or harm a shooter upon discharge. The photo clearly demonstrates three key misfit hazards of this product. Caveat emptor. I have returned it. The fit could possibly be corrected with a lot of filing but, that's not right now, is it? A great alternative at a better price is a Targon TGL-4 green laser with Trinity base rail mount.

Added this to my wish list for Christmas and got it, upon unboxing it the unit seemed decent enough for the price. However, when I went to mount it on my Mossberg 500 I discovered that the dimensions on the mount are a bit off. The knurled surface for tightening was too big in diameter causing it to contact the barrel, and there was a small ledge that contacted the fillet on the barrel's mounting ring.Luckily I have access to a small lathe and was able to shave it down to make it fit, however, I cannot imagine most people would have this option.

The laser mounted great on my Mossberg 500. Easy to to adjust, stays on target.
