Review from 12-year + Roomba owner! Top 2 Bot brands!
Powerful vacuum bot, not as low profile/short as Roomba though, Samsung Powerbot can't go under my dishwasher edge, Roomba can. Roomba will cover entire room more efficiently and quickly with methodical tap and go movements. Powerbot does more of a random, shot in the dark type of cleaning pattern. Powerbot has much better dustbin. Powerbot has a clean dustbin dump, Roomba is a messy dust bin dump. PETS! I have 500 LBS. of dog. Roomba picks up lots of fur, Roomba requires you to cut fur off brush every 3-4 cleans, this is exhausting. Powerbot does not need you to remove fur from brush, It has a cutting mechanism built-in. Roomba has a spinning edge cleaner that works pretty well. Powerbot has a rubber blade that comes down then backs up, it works only ok. Roomba has a better edge clean system.Roomba finds home base, but sometimes doesn't park correctly and you have you have kick into place. Powerbot always finds and parks in base. Powerbot has an app., but needs improvement. Can park and start Powerbot from cell phone app, has Alexa feature but have not used. Powerbot has no handle to pick it up, Roomba has a nice handle to pick it up. Samsung has suction settings and they are: turbo, medium and quiet, it sucks harder than the Roomba. Roomba only has 1 suction setting. Samsung has a glossy finish prone to scratching but still looks very attractive and well built as the heft of the product would indicate.Roomba has a muted, flat finish that blends knicks, scratches and marks better. Roomba is lighter, but still a hefty feeling, well build product. Roomba will run longer if using an aftermarket Lithium Ion battery replacement, Powerbot ships stock with lithium Ion battery, but drains quickly due to record high suction power. Roomba will switch surfaces slightly better than the Powerbot. Roomba's front wheel will collect PET FUR and rub the axel against the wheel castor. Eventually, the wheel and small axle fall out of the castor constantly and need replacement. Wheel castor is around $20 from iRobot. Samsung Powerbot does not seem to be losing wheels. iRobot customer service and warranty support is weak. Samsung has a detailed account page with multiple avenues of contact at your convenience, Samsung also is more sympathetic with part or product repair.Powerpot has a remote with laser to control the robot. Just point at ground and the robot follows the light on the floor.Roomba has a good product but Powerbot addresses a lot of their shortcomings. I also feel as though iRobot has peaked in robot design whereas Samsung is improving and updating the product. I expect Samsung will send updates to robot from my phone. iRobot does not do these things.I prefer the Powerbot, but I just run both everyday for the best clean possible! Rooba still has some small cleaning advantages and gets into slightly tighter places.

This seemed like a great vacuum at first but after having it ...
This seemed like a great vacuum at first but after having it for a while I noticed it not as good as they say. It has a hard time going from from wood floor to a rug and small rugs it just pushes. If it does go on the rug it does not clean it very well and has a hard time getting off the rug as well. The cleaning path most of the time is all over the place and it misses paths and a lot of spots. The cleaning/suction power is not nearly as good as my old roomba and the shark vacuum picks up way more even after this powerbot is done cleaning. Also it is very difficult to get it to connect to WiFi network and I never did get it to work with Alexa. Also most of the time the cleaning path is like a mouse running around house. No pattern to the cleaning. I'll be returning the vacuum. Also other thing I noticed is that it does not shut off when the dirt cup gets full and continues to clean and leaves streaks of hair or dirt along the floor. So then I still have to vacuum when that happens. And it is not very good for pets like they say it is because the dirt cup is quite small for a lot of hair and and with the size of it it fills up quite quick if you don't have it vacuumed every single day and like I said then leaves streaks of hair or dirt cuz it doesn't shut off / stop. Also it is supposed to have sensors that keep it from running into things but they don't seem to work very well . It still runs into dark objects especially black and has a very hard time in tighter spaces. 😡🙁

Save the money and go with the lower end model.
My total review rating of this is based off of also having the smaller (and less expensive) Samsung R7040 model. As far as size and appearance, they are identical minus this unit is almost a rose gold versus the gray and black of the R7040. The biggest gripe I had with the R7040 was that it would clog with fur and make a "fur snake" thus never filling the bin. My hope was that the stronger suction power of this unit would overcome that at least a little. That is not the case. This model also gets 'stuck' in the middle of the room with nothing around it and nothing stopping it. It also doesn't seem to ever want to use the edge cleaning and prefers just barreling into the wall at top speed. Don't worry, my trim is still alright. The R7040 was a master and edge cleaning. It is also a lot louder than the R7040. I assume that's in larger part due to the stronger motor and increased suction power, but the blades are of a different design and just seem to make more noise on rotation as well. I know this model also has features that the lower end model does not, but I haven't used a single one. The battery life is better though (as advertised) and can do the job in about half the time because it doesn't recharge half way through the job. All in all, it does the trick and, if run every night, will keep you pretty well cleaned up, but I recommend saving the money and getting the lower end R7040.

Doesn’t find the charging station
This is most useful in picking up the animal hair especially with 5 cats and 3 dogs. However, I still have to sweep afterwards to get the entryway edges. The most frustrating part about this is it doesn’t finish one room before moving to the next and it can NEVER find its base. Therefore it has to be picked up and carried to the base making it a hassle.
