Perfect little case that does exactly what it needs to do!
Bought this little thing not to store a hard drive but instead to store a Mophie Powerstation back-up battery. After measuring the Mophie I decided to purchase this case; looked around at quite a few cases but this seemed to be the perfect size. Received it quickly (I'm a Prime member so it arrived in two days) and was quite pleased that it fit the Powerstation perfectly. The elastic strap is EXTREMELY nice as it holds the Powerstation in place. I'm usually throwing this in a pack and taking it on a dirt bike or Rhino so the case had to be able to take a beating and keep the Powerstation safe, which is does without question. Additionally, on the inside left of the case there's a small mesh pocket. It doesn't seal with a zipper or anything, which I think would be a bit overkill; the pouch is designed to be able to keep a couple of cords close to whatever device you're using the case for. I keep the USB charging cable for the Powerstation inside the pouch as well as a 3ft iPhone 5 charging cable. Both are tied up with a small sandwich bag tie and it easily holds both cords. This case is designed well without being overly complicated. Obviously has multiple purposes; whatever you're going to use it for, though, so long as it fits the dimensions of your item don't hesitate to buy this. Works extremely well in keeping its items safe!

Good, protective case & keeps dust out
I bought this to use with a WD My Passport Ultra 2TB Portable External Hard Drive. The external hard drive fits perfectly, snug, with little room for sliding even if, in time, the elastic loosens. The mesh pocket holds cables firmly and neither cables nor the drive move around which limits the risk of rubbing or scratches. The case is firm but not totally rigid so there is still some risk of squashing cables down onto the drive if you drop it into the bottom of a bag and have a heavy laptop on top of the top of the case. It seems to offer good protection though and corners are solid. I haven't tried dropping it to test it out but it certainly looks like it would protect from accidental knocks and from corner damage. I recently left the hard drive in its case in a very dusty environment. The case (and everything surrounding it) was covered in very fine, white dust. There wasn't a speck of dust inside the case and the hard drive wasn't even slightly dirty. The case isn't advertised as being able to keep dust out so this was a very welcome discovery. I've had a number of cases over the years and this is the best of the bunch. I've just ordered another external hard drive and another of these cases, in red this time, to protect it. This does everything I need in a case at a very affordable price.

UPDATED Review: Very Good case from newest external hard drives - pay attention to inner size of case and disk size.
This case was advertised to buy for Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex 2,5" External HDD. THIS IS NOT TRUE!!! It is to small for it!!! Even when I removed adaptor it was very hard to fit HDD inside plus there was no space for cables. Don't waist your money - go for Drive Logic DL-64 Portable EVA Hard Drive Carrying Case Pouch - working perfect for Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex 2.5" HDDs. 2017.06.06 UPDATE: I've increase from 1 star to 5 because of below. I purchased this case again but this time for new Seagate Backup Slim 5TB External Hard Drive - this drive fits inside the case perfectly. It is the same for Seagate Backup Plus 4TB or Backup Plus Fast 4TB drives. Also cable will fit perfectly and it won't be squeeze. I have also tested and placed inside 2 x Seagate Backup Plus 2 TB hard drive - both fits and well protected. If you want to have this for one hard drive only then you could placed inside also one or two pendrive and have all in one place together. Inner size of the case is like this: 5 1/8" x 3 1/4" x 1 1/8" Any disk of this size will fit without any problem. Newest external hard drives are much smaller and slim then used to be and if you just check the size then it won't be any problems. Case itself is very well made and it is hard case, not very hard but hard enough to protect whatever you have inside.

GREAT CASE, GREAT BUY AND EXCELLENT VALUE FOR $$$
If you get a backup battery pack like the Introcircuit 11,200mAh Power Castle (great for charging cell phones and tablets- can speak for Apple iPad Air 2) , then you need a GREAT case to carry the battery pack and keep it safe from damage. THIS CASE LOGIC 'QHDC-101' IS THAT GREAT CASE AND AT A SUPERB PRICE ON AMAZON. ALL PRO AND NO CONS FOUND TO DATE. PRO: Nylon exterior which is a hard shell type case, using a decent zipper to close three sides. The Introcircuit backup batter fits perfectly in this case (check dimensions if using a different battery) and is held in place with an elastic band to the case's bottom. The lid has an elastic mesh open pocket, ideal for holding the battery's cables, tips or USB thumb drives, or whatever. Hard case will protect the battery from damage being as it's tied down and the hard shell feature. Can you drive a truck over it. Unlikely, but it will survive being tossed around, sliding inside a trunk, glove box, etc. Cons: NONE seen. Quality and Features good enough this reviewer didn't deduct the usual 1-Star for unknown longevity or long term problems. Highly recommend this Case Logic case to any friends or family. (have other products from this company which have always been good products to own and why this Reviewer looked to Case Logic to find a case to protect the battery mentioned)

Here are the dimensions!
It drives me crazy when I see all these questions about these cases, "will it fit this drive?", "will it fit that drive?". I know it is sometimes unbelievably hard to find the interior dimensions of some of these products but measure your drive and compare to the case specs! To be clear this is the Case Logic QHDC-101 hard drive case I'm talking about. INTERIOR USEABLE dimensions by my tape measure are: 3/4" x 3-1/4" x 4-7/8". The 3/4" dimension is just for the depth of the bottom part of the case that the drive actually sits in. Total interior space (height or depth, however you look at it) by the manufacturers specs is 1.5". The top part of the case with the mesh pocket for cables, etc is a little shy of 3/4" deep so you could fit a taller drive, you just wouldn't be able to put as much stuff in the pocket. The outer dimensions as listed on Amazon for this case are accurate at 1.6" x 3.75" x 5.75". The hard drive I have bought this case for is the Seagate Backup Plus 4TB (model SRD00F1) which is 3/4" x 3" x 4-1/2". This drive fits perfectly with a little room to spare and plenty of room in the mesh pocket for the cable and a couple of small USB drives or whatever. I like the single wider strap that goes the length of the case instead of two smaller bands spanning the width as it holds different sized drives more securely. The case is semi hard with no soft padding inside, the zipper seems rugged enough. I've always been happy with Case Logic products for my laptops, etc and this seems to be a quality product. The attached pictures are showing the dimensions of the Seagate drive.

An Excellent Small Hard Drive Case
I got my Case Logic Portable EVA Hard Drive Case about a week ago, and was immediately impressed with it's construction. While it might benefit from some semi-rigid foam rubber on the inside (something I can actually provide myself), the way the case is constructed, it will protect the hard drive from being damaged by impacts with other objects. That is half the battle, and even without more cushioning on the inside, I am still sure it will protect the hard drive from moderate falls. The side pocket for cables is a very nice feature. Though scratches won't affect the performance of a hard drive, nobody likes a scratched up case on their hard drive, and the pocket will definitely prevent that. Not only that, the cable is less likely to drop out onto the ground when you unzip the case. All in all, I think this was an excellent choice for a case to protect my WD Passport hard drive. I like it so much, I will buy another for my other passport. The price at Amazon is another plus I almost forgot to mention. At the Base Exchange on Vance AFB, this case is $19! I like Amazon's price a heck of a lot better. My final thought: If you want an excellent hard drive case, with an excellent price, this is the one you should buy and Amazon is the place to buy it.

Seems like a good product
Bought two- one red and one black. Perfect for my G-Technology G-Drive Mobile USB-C 2TB Harddrive. Held in place by approx 1.2 in wide elastic strap. When the drive is placed in the case there is about 1/2 in length remaining space and 0 in width remaining space. Drive fits securely. Drive Dimensions: 4.33 in Length X 3.23 in width X .41 in thick. . Case exterior to me is "firm" not "hard." You can compress it but it is resistant. With the USB cable in the mesh pocket it is a comfortable fit for thickness. I am comfortable it will protect my drive from most minor mishaps and carrying circumstances. There is no "cushion" inside. My older WD My Passport Ultra 2 TB also fits but it is thicker ( about 5/8 in or a smidgen more) and with the USB cable in the mesh pocket that is about all the case can take. I would buy again. Pics are of G-Drive in case.

Nice, not 100% for every drive
Nice case, as other reviewers describe. I just wanted to add something. I checked the internal dimensions before buying and tried to compare that to my new Seagate GoFlex Satellite external hdd (it's the one with a battery and mobile hotspot). I thought it would be a good, but tight fit. However, the Seagate drive is a bit larger than a typical external 2.5" hdd enclose due to the fact that the external enclose also has a lithium battery and a mini motherboard, all of which makes it a little wider and a little thicker than what this Case Logic case can hold. Not sure why I thought it would fit (go back and recheck my math or the dimensions listed here on Amazon), but the proof was in the pudding so to say, as in fact it did not fit and I am back to square one looking for a new case. If you own the GoFlex Satellite, I dont think this case will work for you either (unless you are okay with somehow stretching the Case Logic to fit, which I was unable to do). Since this case was so affordable, I decided to keep it and use it for an old WD Passport I owned (250 GB), which fit like a glove. UPDATE: I checked on Seagate's site. The dimensions for the GoFlex Satellite are 4.72in L x 3.54in W x 0.87in D. On Amazon, it lists it at 4.72in L x 3.46in W x 1.26in D. Definitely some conflict of info on that hard drive. This case can handle 5.3in L x 3.5in W x 1.5in D , so I think Amazon might have the wrong dimensions for the Seagate GoFlex which accounts for how I wound up a little too wide for this case. Also makes me wonder if the dimensions for the case as posted here are accurate.
