I haven’t had any issues with it curing. It works well and is a good black color. I have the Sun 5 Pro 72 watt UV LED lamp.

Q: Do you have to have a uv light or can you let it dry on its own?

You have to have a UV light to cure it since it is a gel polish. If you didn’t use the UV, it would never dry.

Q: Do you have to use an led light for this polish?

Yes, you need LED or UV light to dry this Gel Polish. You also need Base coat and Top coat to work with.

Q: Is this a true black when it's black? Or more of a dark brown?

It's a true black but keep in mind that it's temperature dependent. Often times it will be a color somewhere between black and red. Rarely will it be totally black.
