Well set out as are all Wendy's books. Challenges for those with some experience taking you through a whole new set of beautiful baskets. Excellent.

On the author's recommendation, I'm also getting "The Complete Book of Basketry Techniques". Going out to cut my willow as soon as it gets here, and I read those sections that are pertinent. I'm afraid her Beginner's book did not cover that topic. We're redoing our living room, and I wanted to make some square baskets to us in place of having to make drawers. We have willow all over the place near the creek.

This book lives up to the high standard of educating basket makers, as do the previous three books by the same author. The photos are clear and the instructions easy to understand. All the secrets and mysteries of square work are revealed and I am grateful to own this book. The author has done a wonderful job. The only problem was that when the book arrived, the spine was not bound properly so it fell apart as soon as I started flicking through it. This was the only disappointing thing as now I have to deal with this every time I open it, but the quality of information and wide range of topics and styles covered was excellent.
