This creamy, soothing formula with 2.6% micronized benzoyl peroxide (BPO) starts working immediately to clear breakouts by targeting acne-causing bacteria, while helping to maintain the skin's moisture barrier. Formulated with zinc and licorice root to help reduce excess oil and soothe sensitive skin. It is designed to be gentle on sensitive skin, treating and preventing acne without being harsh or over drying. This acne face wash is dermatologist tested and clinically proven to be suitable for sensitive skin, free of oil and fragrances, as well as being hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic.

Review: One of my favorite acne products ever! - I have VERY severe nodulocystic acne - I have been on Accutane twice, and would qualify for a third time. This Cetaphil BPO Acne Cleanser is one of my favorite facial acne products ever, and I wish I knew about it earlier! I use it twice daily and it is very effective at clearing / reducing breakouts while not being too irritating. I still do breakout, but it is less frequent than before, and when I do, the breakouts only last a few days, rather than over a week previously. Given my very severe acne, I do still need to use several other acne products, including prescription tazarotene 0.1% cream (stronger than tretinoin 0.1%), prescription doxycycline oral medication, prescription clindamycin 1% gel, Paula's Choice BHA salicylic acid, CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser, The Ordinary Niacinamide + Zinc, The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid, and The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors. However, the addition of this Cetaphil BPO Acne Cleanser has made a significant improvement in my acne. Of note, my acne is so severe overall that I would qualify for a third course of Accutane, although I am electing not to do it a third time for other reasons. With this product and the above regimen (admittedly very long), while my acne is not completely gone, this is the best my acne has been since being on Accutane, and I am very happy overall.

I have VERY severe nodulocystic acne - I have been on Accutane twice, and would qualify for a third time. This Cetaphil BPO Acne Cleanser is one of my favorite facial acne products ever, and I wish I knew about it earlier! I use it twice daily and it is very effective at clearing / reducing breakouts while not being too irritating. I still do breakout, but it is less frequent than before, and when I do, the breakouts only last a few days, rather than over a week previously. If you’re someone who needs alot of suds, this is not the product for you, it’s more of a cleanser than wash, if that makes sense. But I absolutely love this face product, it helps keep my face look glowy, supple, and hydrated. Has minimized my acne as well.
