Unreasonable Hospitality: The Remarkable Power of Giving People More Than They Expect

This is a fantastic book. Read it for a work book club, and it was one that I actually enjoyed reading. Lots of great stories and lessons to be learned.

It doesn’t take much to realize that most of the businesses our there aren’t in tech, or food or apparel. We are all in the people business. Taking care if people and giving hospitality should always be important.

This is a great book. Applicable to all business, but to understand the work and attention to detail in hospitality of a place like this, you realize their are levels to this game.

Beware: This review shares some information in the book so don't read if you don't want to know something that happens in the book. This is a fascinating book but with one major flaw. The book builds your excitement from chapter to chapter about the author's journey to restaurant success---then towards the end he drops the key news that he and his life long restaurant partner are breaking up and that's it. And the author never gives you any clue this is going to happen nor does he explain really why it happened. I felt that he let the reader down by not explaining this more.

After seeing Will speak in person I could not wait to read this book. He has such a practical but sensitive view of how we should treat and react to others. This book will help anyone with how you react and relate to others, you do not need to be a restauranter or CEO. This book is for everyone and you will be better for reading it.
