Unique product
It took a few tries to get the cans to spray but if you follow the directions, remove the tips, shake well, make sure they are warm, it goes on. This paint has very unique properties you won't find in many other engine paints.. Keep the coats thin and the next day it will magically have the texture that increases surface area.

Do it this way or it will turn out like crap
I am a fussy car person and this is over the top in results. The part needs to be clean, prime if you can (must). Clean again just before spraying. Put it outside in the sun, for twenty minutes so it gets hot. Not 100 degrees silly. Wipe clean with a lintless rag just before you spray. Also leave the can of paint laying on it side in the sun for the same time. Shake it till you think your hand will fall off. Spray 8 to 10 inches from said project being sprayed, back and forth like this is a masterpiece. Little bit up and down too. Wet it up, walk away, come back in five minutes and spray another sort of quick coat. Wait 20 minutes and you will see it appear. If you try to not do it this way then when it turns out crap don't complain. It is professional, and perfect. You will be so amazed.

Who says wrinkles aren't sexy!?
With proper surface prep and adherence to the printed instructions you'll get great results.I spent an afternoon prepping some stock 4Runner wheels, masked and painted as per the instructions and the result is nothing short of amazing. The wrinkle surface took a couple says to fill in completely but I was prepared for that. During the day (over the course of three days) they sat out in the sun and in the evening qent back into the shop. Probably not necessary but it suited my situation. The surface looks pretty uniform and consistent. As I have found before when using the on motorcycle engines, once cured it's a durable coating as well.

Good quality paint.
I've used other wrinkle black paints before, and this has worked the best for me. I've used this for a wrinkle black finish on a Harley engine rebuild after bead-blasting the castings. Read and follow the instructions first. Once cured, it is heat resistant on a properly running engine. A word of warning though, the paint will give off fumes and some smoke when the engine is fired up. The heavier you apply it, the more it will smoke. It will continue to give off nasty fumes for quite a while (like several months). So you'll want to avoid firing the engine up in closed spaces. It does eventually stop though. A powder-coat finish on engine parts is still far superior, but this will work if you're on a tight budget.
