Sloppy molded product.
I dont know of exact quantity of the fifty in the package, but at least a dozen of the "ears" were fused together with plastic. Without the ability of the "ears" to expand into the receiving hole when the post is tapped into the rivet, a tight and secure hold will not be obtained. Technically, the plastic mold is in need of urgent maintenance. The parts are either flashed over or the blade insert forming the slot is damaged or broken. Secondly, the manufacturing system is broken in terms of quality control. At least 12 of 50 pieces is a 24% fallout rate. I would be embarrassed to ship product with this amount of defective product mixed in with good.
