Review: Great product! - Was expecting a knock off, cheap product but was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. I've used these nail caps for my 75lb yellow lab on her rear toes to assist her getting up on mostly wood flooring. Works great and def recommend! Review: Doesn’t hold up - First off, these XL caps were too small for my 75lb greyhounds although they were supposed to be large enough for a dog bigger than mine. But I can get over that. Put them on, simple enough. The instructions tells you to put way too much glue in them to the point it oozes out all over the place. This is basically Superglue, so not something you want to ooze out. The real test came when the dogs walked foe the first time. Dogs on a hard surface like tile or wood floor or outside to cross the street, they were done. Nails ripped right through this cheap plastic and now I had little bits of plastic falling off all over the house as they gave way. Don’t waste your time u less maybe you have a 3lb toy that prefers to be carried everywhere.

Thin, cheaper products than the soft paws brand
Softer and thinner than the name brand. Wear out quicker. If you don’t mind replacing them twice as fast or if your animal is and indoor pet. They might last longer. We have an asphalt driveway and my dog likes to run so they don’t last long. Bought them to help prevent the damage on the screens in the house when he sees a squirrel he can’t help himself but to scratch the windows.

Worked great!
Bought these for my older dog who was sliding on floor really bad. I put them on outer nails on each back paw. These are amazing!!!! He does not slide at all. They fit so well I only had to use the glue on one nail. I did have to cut them down to fit his nail!

Good Product - be careful about dog's toenails
The product was good, exactly what I ordered. After using them (they ship with super glue) I found that some nails had air at the end, I didn't have any time to correct that once the glue was applied. After he had them on for a week or two I wanted to take them off to check his toe nail length. It was very hard to remove them and very uncomfortable for my dog. When I finally got them off, his nails had grown alot and had not had air so they were squishy and rotted looking. I trimmed them and they were fine. I would recommend using a more forgiving glue and cutting them down significantly so you are only apply a small amount to the very tips of the nails. It's also hard to see how long their nails are, when I took the tips off I was shocked - my dogs nails have never been that long and I wonder how uncomfortable he was

They don't stay on
I was so hoping these would work. My 16 yr old dog, her 2 back feet, when she walks, she often drags her feet on the ground which has caused the 2 middle nails on both feet to be extremely grounded down and her balance in standing in place isn't the greatest right now. I had purchased these in hopes it would help since other reviewers stated it helped their dog with standing and balancing issues. Firstly, these nail caps are tough to put on, esp since her nails were very short. Also, make sure to wear gloves bc the glue will stick strongly on your fingers. I initially tried putting these caps on each nail on both rear feet. I followed the directions and everything. Within an hour, 4 of the caps came off. So, I tried again, this time holding the cap onto the nail for a longer period of time (also used more glue) and put on 4 more. It did hold better, however, within just a couple days, most of the caps fell off. Of the few that stayed on, I noticed after a few more days, that they got holes in the point. Also, if you want to remove these yourself, it's almost impossible. I had 2 caps that stayed on her nails but the integrity of the caps deteriorated after a few days but when I tried removing the caps, I couldn't bc of the glue. Maybe I didn't have luck with these caps since my dog drags her back feet on the ground, but, I don't recommend plus they didn't seem to help with her balancing, standing or walking the short time they did stay on.

Easy to use durable nail covers!
Enzo is about 30lbs so we got the XL size which is just a little small for his back nails. We will order the XXL next time. These are easy to put on if you have a dog that will lay down and let you touch their nails. They are thick so I feel like they will last a full 4-6 weeks before they need replacing. They help him get traction on our wood floors and reduce the clicking sound when he walks around. We will definitely buy again.

Worst product ever
Product sounded good. I have a dog that hates getting his nails trimmed and I was tired of tying him and covering his eyes and even paying the vet to get his nails trimmed. Purchased this product and in less than 20mins all the covering fell off his front 2 paws even with the super glue on them.

Ineffective
I purchased these for my senior dog. He slips on the hard wood floor. The tips don’t fit well and the glue doesn’t hold. Half of the tips fell off within half a day. Not worth the effort.

Works great with modifications
They work great, I had to do some modifications, cut them shorter, cut them underneath, and only glued on to two nails on each paw. That’s all it took for our hyper dog to stop scrambling and now has gained traction on the hardwood flooring and saving our hardwood from more scratches. As the nails have been growing out I cut the tips off haven’t reached his nails on those yet, and while he has lost one per nail per paw so far two weeks in, he still has great traction and is still not sliding.
