It worked great!!!
I wasn’t sure if I could make it work..my solar panel flipped backwards on the roof of my van and it broke the solder connection cables.I was a bit skeptical about fixing it as after inspection it looked too flimsy to be fixed but decided to try anyways.. this solder kit worked wonders!!!!My solar panel is back up and running like a dream!Recommend!

Works as advertised
The kit works great! Exactly as advertised. The tabbing wire is not pre-soldered like some other manufactures wire, but it is super easy to add the solder to the wire. The most tricky part is figuring out what temperature setting to put your soldering iron on, but once you get it adjusted it's a breeze. Great product

Good, solid items
Pretty basic but good quality items for their prescribed use. Easy to solder, even without using the flux pen (so the pen is kind of a bonus). If using for 'off-label' use be aware of the current-carrying capacity of the strip.

Fhe flux pen works and lasts a long time. The tabbing strips work.

Terrible flux, decent tabbing
The flux pen is not at all what you want in this application. You need something a lot more viscous with a lot more etching power to get solder to stick to most solar cells.
