I bought this because the mouse 2 leaves ridges in my hands, has sharp edges where you grip, and is extremely uncomfortable. I can't even believe they released it! (Don't get me started on how awful Apple has become....) So I bought this to cushion the grip. It fits well and is comfortable enough and does help dull the sharp edges on the mouse, but I am still getting ridges on my hand, although less deep. If it were thicker, it probably would do the trick. Also, I bought the "red" one, but it is more orange than red, so heads up.
