We put this cowl up in February - we did it ourselves as it is really easy, provided you can safely reach the chimney. Since then (it's now late May) we've had really strong (amber weather warning level) coastal winds and downpours and it has stayed put throughout. I am delighted. Despite the odd shape of our chimney, it still fit really well. The price was excellent too.

So our chimney is 230mm so at the upper end of the size range. This cowl fit great and was easy to install in about 5 mins. However if you have a chimney at the 150 to 200mm range as described as possible, I feel this would be too big and look ungainly in such a smaller stack.

Strap broke when tightened up. Builder had to use a different strap.
