So far easy to use and does what it does well.
Ordered this for my wife who has issues playing due to her MS. It was super easy to set up on the PC and works well on everything tried so far. We have not tested it with the XBOX adaptive controller yet but if that works as advertised this will stay a 5-star review. There are not enough adaptive gaming devices yet. 3DRudder PLEASE keep doing what you're doing! If I can get her to post a YouTube review video I will post a link.

This product is a mistake.
Engineer, here. Bought this for a friend with disabilities who needs to be able to control a mouse with their feet. The 3D Rudder is so unusable, over engineered, and poorly engineered, there's just nothing good to say about it. It takes something simple like a mouse and turns it into a hodgepodge of stochastic models that don't even work. It's impossible to click. It's impossible to *not* scroll without totally disabling the scrolling feature. (And there isn't even an on-off toggle for that. There *is*, however, a set of thresholds that can be set to such extreme values that scrolling is *kind of* turned off.)It's the college freshmen engineering equivalent of "hold my beer".Really, truly, fully an awful device. Documentation is a joke. It literally lists the things you might like to learn to use--without explaining them. It just lists names they made up for stuff. There is a video demonstration of how to use the device, but the part of the video you want to see is made tiny, picture-in-picture, while video of the website you're using to access the demonstration video is prominently featured.Furthermore, this is essentially a mouse. How do you build a mouse so unintuitively that it *needs* documentation?Installation requires a Visual C++ Redistributeable package. Normally, one would write their installation code to check to see if requirements of the software are installed, then ask the user if it's okay to install requirements that aren't met. The 3D Rudder? It just assumes requirements are met, then crashes. I don't have a VR rig, but the part of the installation process you have to do yourself is related to Microsoft's VR toolkit. Other reviewers have said installing this mouse broke their VR setup. I wouldn't be surprised if that's true. If you don't do some of the work for the 3D Rudder team--their software won't even install. Well, not all of it. When it does install? The software you need to run this thing is 500 MB.Five hundred. Half a gig. For a mouse. Can't click. Can't stop scrolling. Controls the mouse poorly. Breaks stuff on your computer. Doesn't work with Mac. Thank God for Amazon's return policy. One of the worst devices I've seen in a long, long time.

Great Idea - not so great execution!
If it would have worked as advertised I would have loved this product. In some aspects it worked well, I could move forward fast and strafe fast, but turning and changing direction was not intuitive or stable Frankly, it was like rowing a boat with a rope. I did the tutorial several times after attempting adjustments and modifying my footwork with out really improving this critical aspect of VR movement. Feet do not work as fast or as fine as hands do! This product is not anchored in any way on smooth floors and not very stable on thick carpet either. It constantly moves out of position and you cannot anchor it with your full weight but only with your calf muscle strength; it truly over works your foot ligaments when backing up or turning sharp. It is clumsy, and inaccurate for fast motion moves like dodging. It is a great idea but poorly executed. I have returned this item but I will keep a sharp eye out for an improved version that is anchored and more sensitive to foot motion and a little lower priced.

Solid product !
I bought a 3dRudder after watching a review on YouTube where the guy was saying the foot controller was a game changer for mech titles. I have tried it only a few minutes but it’s pretty easy to use. You put your feet on the platform and tilt it to move in games. You can also spin it to rotate, and that one is pretty cool. I just need to find a way to make my feet not slide off it. I’ve heard they have those foot bars for that.

Worth it!
Having been using the Oculus Rift for the past several months, I wanted to try out the 3drudder. I ordered one and tried it right away with TheBlu. I am so glad I did!! I was blown away!Man, it’s incredible. It felt like being in the ocean, and swimming with turtles was an awesome feeling. Something you can’t do with TheBlu if you don’t have the 3dRudder.This item will transform how you act and feel in VR. It did for me and my son. I told him to give it a try and he did with Robo Recall. Not as relaxing but he was really enthusiast.I could not be happier with my purchase. I love my Oculus even better now!

Poor instructions.
Poor instructions. Much like the Steam controller (fantastic hardware) instructions, written slopply. Technical writting is a skill. Just because you are smart doesn't mean you know how.

works well when it works
It is working well when it is working well and stay connected. Getting out of collaboration in the middle of the game and then stop working. Maybe there is more software/driver upgrade needed. Giving 3 starts because of the concept is cool.also, joystick mode doesn't work in game

Great product if you are a upper limb amputee.
Like!!!....I can kick azz in fps games once again! The bad... The Gizmo tends to migrate into chair legs.. Or the side of your computer tower... You then have to stop . Pick it up with your feet and center it away from objects... It takes a full second for it to recalibrate... By then you might be dead... Not to much of a problem as I reload my weapon and recenter it at that time.It is the cheapest option I could find out there.. And believe it or not it's a workout... We played a 3 hour free for all when done my legs felt like I jogged 5 miles!
