Very Effective at reasonable price.
Most effective product I have found to control my diarrhea since I had gastric bypass 7 years ago. Can't go without this stuff.

... product for over a year now and it works great for those with their gallbladder removed
I've been taking this product for over a year now and it works great for those with their gallbladder removed. My naturopathic doctor recommended it and I purchase this from her, except I don't pay anything close to what they are charging here. Same 90 pill bottle.

not helping so far
This was prescribed by my integrative doctor for my long term multiple stomach problems including bad bacteria in my stomach. I'm disappointed as it does not seem to be helping with the symptoms so far.

Standard Process sells Cholacol cheaper.
I've been using this product since I had my gallbladder removed and discovered the "side effects" of NOT having a gallbladder (about 8 years ago). My chiropractor/nutritionist recommended it. My symptoms (besides the common indigestion and diarrhea) are severe bumps/blemishes on my face and forearms that looked like acne. When I first starting buying this, it was $12.95 a bottle. The price has tripled or more in the last two years. If you go on the website for Standard Process, you cannot order it directly from them, you have to get it through a doctor, chiropractor or nutritionist that has a contract with them. But the price is $14.95 plus S/H! Standard Process has a referral page for doctors near you. I called a local chiropractor and he allowed me to order it over the phone and he will have it mailed to me. So, thank God, it saved me a "new appointment" fee. My old chiropractor went out of business due to Obamacare. ;-( But getting it through a local doctor, is well worth the trouble for the price! I believe the "shortage" of Cholacol is that there are articles online that tout it as a weight loss product and it's also used for IBS, which has become a problem with more people than you can imagine. The directions call for 2 tabs per meal, but I only take two a day and it holds the symptoms at bay. The pills are a little bigger than a large aspirin and a little thicker. In my most recent order, the pills were not coated, so they are harder to swallow. Don't know if that was an accident or if that's how they're making them now. I read that Cholacol II is for diarrhea and Cholacol is better for gall bladder issues. PS I also take BileMin (K11) two a day with my Cholacol. Ask your supplier (doctor/chiropractor/nutritionist) which ones you should use. Hope this helps! ;-)

Proline is scamming people with expired supplements
I read the reviews here and thought "I wondered why the tablets had black spots on them and smelled funny". Thinking it was just how the we're suppose to be, I didn't think anything of it when they arrived. I ordered a bottle from another company today and looking at the pic they had listed, the tablets had no black spots.I'm glad someone else noticed it. Still it surprises me that Proline is still selling them on amazon. It makes me think that standard is sending them unwanted bottles to get rid of. Either way it's wrong and this company should sell legitimate unexpired cholacol supplements.

Worth trying for chronic diarreah
Just recently started on Cholacol II for my chronic diarreah. The product was recommended by Dr. David Williams, a holistic/natural foods doctor. I've only been on it for a couple of days but the diarreah has lessened somewhat already. I'm hopeful this product will help long term. I do have my gallbladder so I will do the recommended time that Dr. Williams suggests, which is 30 - 90 days. Much to my dismay, I found a company that offers the very same product for much less and free shipping: Pureformulas.com. Of course, I had already ordered from Amazon. Thought I'd give a heads-up on price since it was a significant difference. Sorry Amazon. Hope you will run my comments anyway.
