very nice book.

Supriyo Datta's textbooks are strange. He fills the pages with a lot of qualitative physical descriptions but doesn't explain the link between the mathematics and physics properly. I suppose this makes it more accessible, but this book does not work well as an advanced textbook- like say Chaikin-Lubensky or Peskin-Schroeder. Some extremely important concepts like the QHE are not treated comprehensively enough. Unfortunately my professor follows Datta's textbook religiously. I suppose one could use this textbook fully if there was a secondary book which also had the proper math, but then it beats the purpose of having a single text to learn from.

A very decent introduction book if you are starting your research, say, in a semiconductor group.

この著者はもう一冊量子輸送に関する本を出版されていますが、本書は理論的背景もきちんと学習したい人向け、別の方はとにかく非平衡グリーン関数を使ってみたい人向けであると感じました。本書は日本語訳版がありませんので、これしかありませんが、ランダウアービュティカーの方法や非平衡グリーン関数法（主にバリスティック輸送ですが）について、わかりやすく書かれていると思います。
