OK for my specific needs
I bought this to use in a motor-home to mount new LED-LCD Vizio TV that replaced the big old CRT set that took up that huge cavity over the windshield - you RVers know of what I refer. Because I wanted to mount the new TV outside the old opening, I had some special needs:1) I wanted to be able to extend and turn the TV in several directions to see it from various locations in the rig and2) Because the old mounting frame was already on a about a 15 degree angle, if I were to extend the set and tilt it, the set itself would end up at a really tilted angle (essentially a compound angle) - thus I needed a mount that not only extended and tilted but also one whose mounting head rotated. This mount does meet all of my needs and seems to holding up quite well. The Good -~ I was concerned that the TV (all 10 lbs of it!) would flop all over the place when we were traveling and fretted over how to secure it so that it wouldn't extend or rotate on its own. Not necessary to secure with straps or the like - as long as you tighten the all of bolts before hitting the road. Stays right where you set it!~ It does rotate, extend and turn in virtually any direction.~ Because the "arms and head" that get bolted to the TV is a seperate part of the mount from the plate that gets bolted into the wall (in my case a 1X6 mounted just behind the old frame), you can easily remove just the TV and mount. The company even sells replacement wall plates so you can easily switch the TV from one mounted location to another. The Neutral -~ The entire mount ended up being centered on the wall much lower in relation the TV than I had anticipated. Due to the specs of the TV, the bottom of the mount actually extends slightly lower than the TV itself, making it visible below the set. Probably not a problem for those at home but I had hoped to have access under the mount to utilize all that new-found space freed up by removing the old set. I still have room to just barely get to the DVD that is mounted in the opening. Also, because of this, if you choose to use the "cable management hook", the cables are visible!~ Uses an Allen wrench to adjust all of the settings. Works fine but another thing to lose. Some of the other companies use knurled thumbscrews that may be handier.~ Very fine line between too loose and too tight for all of the settings. Even loosening the bolts a little makes the TV "sloppy on the mount. This is particularly true of the screws that adjust the rotation tension. This is the only reason for the 4 stars vs 5 stars.~ Mounting angle! I know that virtually all of the mounts advertise a maximum 15 degrees of downward angle and this is true as well of this mount. Because it is mounted relatively high (nearly 7 feet to top of set) and close to the viewing location (8' > 12'), 15 degrees alone would not allow the viewer to face and be perpindicular to the set. It is only because the angle of the original mounting surface (15 degrees) is added to the 15 degrees of the mount that we can see it. Laying down and watching from up close is marginal. Take this into considerration when thinking about how high on a wall you might want your TV!Bad -~ What am i going to do with all that new space in the old TV cavity? It's big enough for a VHS, Beta and Disk Video combined! And a reel-to-reel recorder!Hope this helps!

Good Product
Works well. Arm droops just a little once the TV is mounted. I needed to drill new holes about 1/2 inch above the original template settings to accommodate that droop and keep the TV from dragging. After that adjustment, I have been very happy.
