We decided to add a ceiling fan to our bedroom. After much study I decided to go with this Prominence model for remote control. The bedroom was only wired for a light fixture with two wires from a wall switch. Due to the room layout I had wired a 3-way switch; it is really needed. Base installation was simple. The problem: could I get a second remote to operate the fan/lights? After calling Prominence support, I was discouraged that this system was not designed to add a second remote. However, after reading that some people have had success, I ordered a second kit (I now have an extra receiver/controller module). Out of the box, the second remote did not connect. However, following the instructions to remove power from the receiver, turn it back on and within 30 seconds hold the learn button in the remote for 5 seconds, the second remote paired with the receiver. The first remote also remained paired to the receiver, so we now have complete control of the fan and lights from two locations, effectively 3-way functionality. I also took an idea from another reviewer. The buttons are small and it’s hard to find the lamp button in the dark. I found some small clear silicone semi spherical cabinet door bumpers that just fit the lamp icon on the remote, plus still show the icon. You can see the bumper in the photo. Now it’s simple to find the lamp button in the dark. The features all work as described. I’m delighted with this fan control.

I purchased to replace the remote for a Honeywell fan. The Honeywell receiver arced and no longer worked. Honeywell said to replacement and it did the same thing. While I was waiting for Honeywell to warranty the replacement I purchased this one and it worked perfectly. No more parking. The only difference is the Honeywell remote is white and this one is black. Everything else works and looks exactly the same.

I dropped the remote control to our Hunter ceiling fan on the floor, and it broke. It would no longer work to turn on light or fan. I was going to hire electrician to see what could be done but decided to check online and see if they sell a replacement. It works perfect!! Very easy to program to the fan. Saved me the cost of an electrician!!

My husband accidentally left our ceiling fan remote in his pocket and it hasn’t worked since going through the laundry cycles. This was an easy to use replacement - up and running in no time. I have ordered this twice - one set didn’t work but I was able to return for a full refund. Second set worked perfectly.

I bought this in February and actually got to install it bit late due to delay in construction by the contractor. Not sure what's wrong but I have got it checked by 2 electricians one who installed the fan and set this up both are unable to make fan and light work via remote. It only switches on and off the light but not the fan.

works great and have been using it for a while, without needing a new battery. Easy to install and use.

I bought this remote and receiver to go with an existing fan that already has a remote and receiver. I was hoping I could have one remote mounted on the wall next to the main switch, and the other remote on the desk or the nightstand for convenience. I am able to sync the fan with the new remote, or with the original remote, but not with both. Is there any way to sync one fan with two remotes? Or can I purchase a remote which is set to the same frequency as one of the remotes I already have?

I didn't even need to remove/lower the unit from the ceiling; just the cover. Worked like a charm!
