Facebook for Seniors: Connect with Friends and Family in 12 Easy Lessons

The title refers to the fact that it's late and I'm tired. I wanted to write a review, but it turned out to be a seller review that came to me. I never talked to the seller because everything came on time and the book was in great condition. I tried to correct my error which seemed to make things worse. So if there is a half written thing from me giving the seller 1 star, ignore it because it isn't true. Meanwhile, I am enjoying the book. I have used other books on the same subject, and not really liked them. I have been on Facebook and Messenger for around 6 months, and have been using computers at work and at home for years now (both PC & Mac). I'm still learning Facebook and Messenger and there are some things that I haven't learned how to do yet. I love the way this book explains things. It goes step by step.It does not assume that everyone using it has a lot of experience, and yet it doesn't talk down to you. It also has activities in most of the chapters so that you can tryout what you've learned. They have written the book for PC users, but they have, in some cases when things are quite different, showed what the Mac users will see, and what different words are used. I recently switched from a PC at home to a Mac laptop. So it is nice when the 3 Erwin's, who wrote this book, send us these little Mac gifts. Although I am a senior too, and fairly recently retired, I know for a lot of us who never used a computer before, it can be very scary. I think this book will be very helpful to those of you who want to stay in touch with family and friends who no longer live nearby, and you may even find some friends you haven't seen in years. I did. Each step is explained, and as you work your way through the book, I think you'll fairly quickly become more confident in what you are doing.

I am intersted in communication with younger members of my family. Facebook is a good tool for staying in touch. But, at 80 years old, my knowledge was limited. I discovered this book and started reading one chapter at a time. I built my site and added photos and started communicating with my family and friends. I have found that my newly gained knowledge has helped connections to members of may family. Now we share messages and pictures almost everyday.This book is so well written and illustrated. It is easy to follow and is fun. I was enabled with the completion of each chapter ---and excited to pursue the next. I highly recommend this book to seniors and others. You will learn and have fun.

I didn't know anything about facebook. this book explains the basics in simple language. first you read what to do and then it takes you step by step through it. Great book. Great value.

This is the first time I am reviewing a book. I am very disappointed in this book. Do not purchase it if you want to use the Facebook APP. The manual is only good if you want to access Facebook as a website..That is not revealed in the review. The most annoying feature is that the text on the illustrations is too tiny to read unless you want to use a magnifier.

If only... the book was "like new" except for a very big flaw - half the back cover was torn completely off
