why can't u use it to mulch ?

The reason it's not recommended for mulching is that high lift blades create extra suction, which is great for bagging and side discharge. If you use it for mulching, the vacuum created from the extra suction will hold the clippings in the deck longer, thus clogging it up and leaving behind clumps and slowing down the blades cutting speed. The result is that you'll have to push your mower slower to achieve a good cut. Mulching blades have less lift which allows the grass to drop back down to the blade faster for that second cut. That way, you can push your mower faster (or whatever your normal speed is), and your work flow isn't interrupted by going extra slow, as you would with a high lift blade being used for mulching. 
  So the bottom line is, if you bag or side discharge, a high lift blade is the best choice. If you mulch, a mulching blade is a better choice. Otherwise, if you don't mind pushing your mower extra slow, you can certainly use this high lift blade for mulching. Hope I was able to help.

Will this blade work with the lm2135sp lawn mower?

It won't fit on LM2130SP (which is part of a set LM2135SP) without additional parts. The center hole is correct size, however, outside holes are too close together and don't align to the bolts in the upper blade. Not a good idea to put two blades but don't bolt them together. So it should be used without the upper blade, which otherwise would be ok, but it can't be tightened with the mower's own bolt and washer - there's about 1.74mm of shaft sticking out (because select cut dual blades are about 5.8mm thick, and this one is only 3mm thick) and the blade just freely spins. Need to add a washer ID16.7mm(21/32") OD34mm(1.25") TH~3mm.

I have the 20" ego stored in the garage because of the crap blade.  is this blade worth trying to modify for the 20" model?

I bought the 20” model- have tried everything to get it to cut properly, have sharpened and balanced the blade. Will NOT cut evenly, or completely. My teenage boy has to mow the entire lawn 2-3 times each week to get it to look right. Until they figure out their cutting system, I’d stay away. I REALLY wanted to love this system. I have the snowblower, edger/trimmer, and blower. I love all of it except the mower.

For those fortunate enough to receive one of these blades does it work well at mulching (there are mixed reviews here and at the ego forum)?

Unfortunately it does not. Most cut blades are 1.5+ inches and it accumulates where the tire tracks are. I think the original blade does better with mulching.
