Yes, the Nuwave air purifier cost $400. But what it does to the quality of the air in one’s house or apartment, and what it does to improve occupant’s health makes the price more than worth it. There’s hardly anything that the Newwave can’t remove from the air you breathe where are you live. The unit has two varying light indicator bars. One at the top for particulate matter and one at the bottom for odors and microbes down to 1/10 of a micron in size. It has nine filters in all but the filters are guaranteed to last for 20 years, and can be washed very easily. Only one type of filter needs to be lightly brushed to be cleaned or cleaned with canned air. Even the slightest bit of odors and/or microbes will cause the bar on the bottom of the unit to flash red and then the flashing will stop and the bar will remain red until whatever set it off is removed by the specific filters - as the air quality improves. The light turns lighter to pink and then to white and then to green which means that it has done his job. The same with particulate matter. The top bar will turn from green to red if even the slightest hint of an unhealthy (the bar for unhealthy is set extremely high) level of dust, pollen, dead skin, and so on is detected. The air intake is on each side with all of the controls on the front. The controls include a quick on/off button, change of fan speed, angle of louvers at the top that can be set at 35°, 70° or 90° to control the direction of the clean air blowing out. I had to find a way to solve my dry problem created by living in northern Minnesota, which is extremely cold and snowy 5 to 6 months out of the year. So I bought the Newwave air purifier and a Vornado evaporative humidifier from Amazon and the combination of the two makes the air quality inside my living space feel like I am by the ocean on a calm day in late spring. It took me a little while to believe it. Kudos to NUWAVE for being on the cutting edge of innovative air purification technology.

The customer service is great!! I was considering the Air Dog Purifier. I called their customer service, and had to leave a message. As of this moment I never received a call back. So when I got down to deciding which purifier to invest in, I chose the one that has a real human being that answers the phone. I called Nuwave numerous time, and always spoke to a super nice, patient person. Now, to the unit. I set mine up in a flash last evening in my bedroom. I has worked flawlessly so far. Very happy with this purchase. I had been using a Rabbit Air Minus A2 for years, but the last batch of filters I purchased at $103.00, had a HEPA filter that smelled chemically. Why would I want to use a filter that is suppose to take away bad odors and purify the air, but adds to it. So I am thrilled to find Nuwave with its washable filters. NO more chemical manufacturing odors on my filters. Nuwave purifier air was clean and odor free right out of the box. YAY!

I have used both hepa and non hepa air purifiers for about 15 years. This one performs well above the others, top of the line for mid budget and latest improvements in technology. Its quiet, gives you color sensor readings on how clean the air is, and gets the air purified quickly. Plus, with the washable filters is a total win. Anyone who's owned purifiers before can tell you how annoying it is to have to order more. Also, the app works great, and useful to use. I have to watch my air quality being near a high traffic area, and living in a recently moved into dusty home that I'm working on cleaning up. I have watched this purifier go off when the grass gets cut outside, or when I bring dust into the bedroom, it responds very well, and I'm impressed with the quality of my air in my room. I also picked one up for downstairs near the multicat litter box. Highly recommend, especially if you have allergies, or animals with allergies (like me,) or concerned about air quality if you live in the city. It's well worth the money and piece of mind. I'm so impressed, I may consider their car purifier in the future.

I've used this air cleaner without breaks ever since it arrived two years ago. I've had it in the house while I put up drywall and even while sanding, which really helped keep the dust down, BUT it is abusive to the appliance and I worried it would ruin it. It was kinda a mess to clean after subjecting it to the drywall dust; Otherwise, cleaning it isn't difficult. I give the filters a good vacuuming and wipe it down every 6-8 weeks and wash them twice a year. It's still working without issues, luckily. I move it into the kitchen while frying and it does a phenomenal job keeping the grease from stinking up the house. I'll even move it next to the litter box to keep things smelling fresh, and when I need to clean the box, just to keep the dust from entering the rest of the house. You can imagine I appreciate the wheels as they help move it smoothly over hard floors. Mostly, I just let it run in the center room of my home. I love that the house stays dust-free for much longer than it would otherwise. Its near my bedroom and I don't like how bright the lights are. I don't think lights are necessary but a lot of things have LEDs these days. I would like to of had an option to shut them off. I also don't appreciate how much I paid for it. I had a big round air cleaner for years and other than keeping the greasy smell under control, it was just as good as a fraction of the price. Hopefully this one lasts as long.

Very having something you don’t have to keep buying filters for as well as being very efficient, you have the option of being able to clean it every 3 months. It’s pricey but I’ve gone through many from Honeywell to Dyson and it’s very reasonable
