S&B Premium Wasabi Paste in Tube, 1.52 Ounce (Pack of 2)

Taste great. If you like super spicy then this is for you! I’ve bought this multiple times and is a staple to have in my kitchen.

This is great, just what I was looking for, tastes great & has the instant kick. I saw that S&B sells another wasabi which are more commonly found in stores that has added colors which makes the color appear very green, and the main ingredient is horseradish not wasabi. I don’t want any dyes or artificial colors & BS ingredients in my food so, I searched further and found this. I’m so happy with this wasabi & it’s a great value for the bucks. Will be ordering more in the future when I run out of this tube.

It's a smallish tube, but it is so pungent and flavourful that you need very little per serving. I'm not a fan of Sushi, so I don't use it for that, but mixing 1/2 tsp. with 1 T. of stone ground mustard makes a wonderful spread for roast beef sandwiches, and it adds a whole new level of yum to dios and hors doevres. Since I can't find ANY wasabi in my small town, I am thrilled that Amazon has me covered.

I like the taste and it has a nice kick to it. It's authentic wasabi paste. Not the garbage paste you get with takeout

We love making sushi and making at home, as it is so much more affordable. This wasabi tastes great and stays fresh for a long time in refrigeration. It is easy to use too. I set it right of the table as is!

After reading much cries in Amazon’s reviews how tube Wasabis in general are so fake, made of horseradish and don’t tasted as a real thing at all, after ordering quite a few HonWasabi tubes, I finally ordered real fresh Wasabi rhizome (on the picture). Well, after realizing how much disinformation floats around I just have to voice my opinion. So here is my take. No, real thing does not tastes much different from S&B wasabi tube at all. Matter of fact, for quite few tries I could not distinguish any differences in the taste at all. Yes, if you do really, really focus, real Wasabi does have very faint planty hints, tube doesn’t have. That’s about it. HonWasabi on other hand (made usually not of majority of horseradish but of leafs and other parts of Wasabi Japonica - real plant), tastes completely differently than real thing. My advice is, don’t listen to a nonsense people who never tasted real thing in their lives cries - save yourself money. This product even quite cheap, DO taste really, really close to a real grind Wasabi Japonica rhizome.

Not angry about my purchase, but not impressed either. May or may not purchase again.

This has a far higher percentage of wasabi and, unlike most of the brands available, is gluten free.It's got quite a kick to it, so don't assume you can use the same amount as you would a cheaper brand.

Sono celiaco e quindi per me era essenziale che il prodotto fosse davvero senza glutine. Benché titolo e descrizione fossero rassicuranti in tal senso, il dubbio rimaneva considerato che in foto sono si vedevano riferimenti scritti a questa caratteristica (chi è celiaco sa bene che vincolante e tutelante solo quanto riportato sul prodotto). L'ho ordinato quindi, già psicologicamente pronto a restituirlo, ma con piacevole sorpresa il prodotto reca la scritta "gluten free" sia sulla confezione (vedere foto), sia sul tubetto.Era tanto che non lo mangiavo (per la difficoltà di reperire un prodotto per me sicuro), ma il sapore è proprio come lo ricordavo. Ottimo.Infine preciso che questa pasta wasabi è prodotta in Giappone, ma con wasabi non coltivato in Giappone.

Nei vari sushi restaurant il wasabi, dopo un po' che lo mangio, perde forza. Ossia, non sento più quell'effetto "penetrante" nel naso. Questo invece sì: anche al terzo o quarto "assaggio" il sapore e la forza restano.MOLTO SODDISFATTO!
