Salomon Women's Quest Element Gore-tex

I have problems with my ankles ( always rolling and tearing them ). I have to wear a brace to do everything . I own a pair of low ankle Salomon’s and love them but wanted to see if something high ankle would help . When they arrived and I opened the box I thought “ oh no they sent me men’s size !” They looked huge ! But I looked an indeed they were women’s size. So I tried them on and laced them up and immediately could tell they would be supportive. Went hiking ( I’d say I’m intermediated ) and got lost lol and ended up doing 6.5 miles in my new boots. My feet were not sore at all and no blisters ! I’ve been caught in storms , mud and walked through creeks not one drop of water on my socks. I’m sold and so glad I bought these and so far haven’t even come close to rolling my ankle :)

Got these on sale, what a deal! They are super good quality. I can’t push my thumbs into the sole of the shoe (which is a problem when you can do this, and it happens with a lot of hiking boots, when you’re going on Granite rocks). They are super supportive on the ankle-to prevent rolling-making them safe for being way out in the wilderness. They are very waterproof. Great boots!

The front of boot deteriorated within a couple of weeks of light use. Very disappointed. I would love a replacement or refund, but cannot work out how to request !

These boots are great. They are heavy, so be advised. The ankle supports are very stiff, almost like wearing ice skates. I keep the ankle part unlaced to avoid excessive bruising. Watch out when tying bows int eh laces, because they can get caught on the eyelet hooks and trip you. I learned that the hard way. For waterproofness, walking through water is fine until you get to the ankle. Once water gets in the boot from the top, it's staying in there. I had to dump out my boot after stepping into a river crossing on accident, and I had to stuff towels in the boot to fully dry it. On another hike, they lasted 4 hours of steady Washington downpour before they became waterlogged. Overall, I'm pleased with these boots and they're holding up great after 5 long, wet hikes.

Used the on a camping/hiking trip in which we put in just over 27 miles in 4 days. Ankle support and comfort were supreme. Water resistance was up to the first hook. They were slightly stiff, even after breaking them in, but not enough to impact comfort.

Ankle support is awesome. I bought a 10 because the Salomon hiking shoe fit perfectly in the same size. These seem to fit about a half size too big. I had to get a refund because the top part or the shaft rubbed my skin raw. Maybe if they were true to size the shaft would not of rubbed like that. Good quality boot though!

the size is too big for a US 8… US 8 normally equals a EUR 39 which fits me with a sock. this is a 40 and allows almost an inch between big toe and top of shoe

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very Comfortable and Good Quality Really happy with these Salomon Element GORE-TEX shoes. The fit is comfortable, they feel lightweight on the feet, and the grip is very good. The build quality feels solid and the GORE-TEX waterproofing is a nice advantage for outdoor use. They are comfortable enough for long walks and versatile enough for hiking, travel, or everyday wear. Overall, a very good quality outdoor shoe from Salomon and worth the price. Would definitely recommend.

Bought these for the lady & she loves them. I've worn exclusively Salomon & Scarpa boots for decades & mine have never let me down. They are extremely light & comfortable. All day trekking is no issue. Gore-Tex ensures dryness & breathability. Waterproofing is superb. Buy cheap buy twice. I've had my boots for 7 years & they still clean up like new. These will last her for years. Cannot recommend them highly enough

Marque connue pour la randonnée. Convient très bien pour les semelles ortho. Génial en montagne et sur chemin, de véritables chaussons !
