Stromberg Carlson Manual RV Step

Would have been five stars if it had left the factory finished.There are two areas on the underside that had been cut and re-welded. This would be fine if they had re-powder coated the step after doing so, now it's just bare metal.. I will have to buy primer and paint to temporarily keep the step from rusting. Not a huge deal, but powder coating is so much more durable than paint, and I do not have a powder coat oven in my garage.This is the perfect step for an enclosed cargo trailer, as it cuts the drop in half, but does not hang down so far that it will get damaged while traveling in the woods. I'm hoping the seller will contact me and rectify my issue. If the do, 5 stars for sure.Edit: In an after-thought, I bumped up to 5 stars. Reasons I raised my rating: 1. It's made in USA, and that is very very cool. 2. The price is extremely reasonable. 3. I like and it works as advertised, and despite being shipped out without finishing touches, it is a quality product, and very solid. I Highly recommend this step and would buy again.

I had to do some cutting on it to fit my needs but works perfectly. It helps that I have the right tools or I couldn't have got it to work. Looks flimsy at first but surprisingly very sturdy once installed. I weigh 220 and it does not flex at all. It's nice that it comes in different heights and widths. I would definitely buy again.

This step works great on my cargo trailer conversion. It's the perfect height, and doesn't hang down to low. Because my trailer has 16" on-center framing, I had to add a metal bracket to support the rear of the step. Would buy it again.

Liked it but bolt holes do not line up so have to drill two new ones.

Nice step for my cargo trailer. Easy to install. Feels sturdy. Great step for the price, nicer than expected.

I purchased this step for my Food Trailer which is a modified utility trailer.The step fit fine and works very well.

It would have been a 5 star if it was a replacement step, but mine was a new install where I had to mount new tubing to cross members cause there was not any cross members except where the threshold I’m 225 and been testing out since late April.solid. Now if a piece of refuge like a tire doesn’t tear it off. But with the 4in drop sure is nice.

This thing started rusting as soon as I got it, tried pulling it off and removing the rust to coat it but it was too far gone. If you buy I would strip the paint and recoat with something more durable. Bummer cause I love the size and how it functions.

I only had so much space underneath my horse trailer. I didn’t need a speed bump to take out the step so I needed something slim this worked out perfectly.

I liked the fact it was flat across the top so with some plywood spacers cut it fitted wherever I wanted it, drilled through the floor and secured with carriage bolts up against the chassis, Cargo Mate trailer.
