My 'back' story. I spent the better part of 30 years in the MMA. I have multiple black belts, elevated ranks of each of those black belts, spent years fighting, weapons training, and finished my martial arts career teaching the fighting arts. In 2001, I was diagnosed with a highly aggressive degenerative disorder of the spine. My martial arts days came to a screeching halt, once we realized the extent of the damage I had done to myself in tandem with the disease. From 2001 to now (2017) all of my vertebrae have degenerated to the point, I only have four 'normal' or unchanged bones. All but a few of my disks are gone. I have nerve root compression and bone-on-bone grinding, 24/7. My spine is basically mush. I have a 55" chest, so there is a lot of weight to carry around from shoulder to shoulder. I was placed on every legally available pain medication offered in the United States. Massive doses of opiates, Morphine, muscle relaxers, etc. For me, this was not the path I wished to travel. I took myself off of all the medications and am now living completely pharmaceutical free! I am an opioid epidemic survivor, but there was heavy damage done... One lives and learns. Now... how I rest. I have gone weeks without sleep before. The pain from other pillows, tried and failed, have left me desperate for help. I purchased a Sleep Number bed because the issue of adjustability is key to someone in my condition. For me, having the ability to change my mattress only made sense. And, I am so skeptical of companies these days. These days manufacturers will tell you whatever it takes to make the sale. It is after the sale support which speaks volumes for me, now. I picked this pillow because it is adjustable. I can add or subtract any amount of filler material I want. I had looked into a water core pillow, but having a Sleep Number bed mixing with a leaky water pillow can cause major issues. I opted for this pillow because of the fill. Most, importantly I chose this pillow based on the remarks of those who had dealt with the manufacturer, post sale. I got my pillow, quickly. I was in misery and needed a good night's sleep. It came just in time. The touch and feel of this pillow is incredibly luxuriant and presents the air of superior quality. This product is well made, with each and every stitch. The zippers are solid and something I have yet to detect during my times of rest. However, the pillow was not right for me. I needed more support of my head and neck. I was heartbroken that it wasn't perfect out of the bag. That said, I gave it a good couple of weeks for my body to adjust to the new pillow. The relief I had sought, was not happening for me. I decided to contact the company. I contacted them, both via email as well as calling their customer service number. Let me tell you... their professionalism, attention to detail, concern for my happiness in association with their product blew me away! I was shocked to hear a customer service representative care so much about my happiness. They had me perform a test on the pillow, to determine how much fill they needed to send me--free of charge. Once we determined approximately how much fill to add, the package with the additional material was at my door in just a couple of days. I've always used European down pillows - love, love, LOVE the loft and comfort of down, but the past couple of years I've been having more trouble sleeping and waking with terrible neck and shoulder pain. Although I had the "firm" down pillows, I apparently needed more support as a side sleeper. I've tried dozens of pillows since then, on the elusive hunt for the "perfect pillow" with down-like comfort and the support side sleepers need. The hunt cost a small fortune and a lot of sanity all with no luck....until I found the Snuggle-Pedic. The day it arrived I followed the instructions and it quickly inflated. It had a slight smell (after reading reviews, I expected this and it was not a big deal) but after fluffing it in the dryer for 30 minutes (used the air fluff setting and stuck in a dryer sheet) the smell was hardly noticeable - I slept on it that night no issues. Within 2 nights it was completely gone. Since using this pillow, I've had the best sleep in years...and woke with ZERO neck/shoulder pain. Woohoo!! That alone was worth it! (Anyone that suffers from this issue knows what I mean) The second week of use I did notice that the pillow would harden ever so slightly as I slept (nothing too bad - just enough that I would wake to re-adjust a few times throughout the night) so I began experimenting with foam adjustment. I really like the fact that it can easily be tailored to meet specific needs and preferences. I found that I prefer the feel of it (loft, buoyance, etc) right after a dryer fluff so I started re-fluffing every day or two. That quickly became cumbersome so I reached out to Relief-Mart and explained my situation and asked their advice. They were extremely responsive and helpful and they understood exactly what I was talking about. They offered to send me a specific type of foam (no charge) that simulates the "fresh-from-the-dryer-fluffy-feel" without sacrificing support. This pillow is the most "perfect for me" that I've found yet, as it came packaged but I'm excited to try to customization - no doubt it will be even better. I'll post an update after it arrives. Also - the Kool-Flow cover that comes with the pillow is AMAZINGLY soft, comfortable and breathable. I tried various other pillow cases over it (as some users suggested) but in my opinion they all slept warmer and lacked the amazing softness of the Kool-Flow cover, so I went back to using it alone. I may purchase another as a backup - it's wonderful!!

I've always been a fan of memory foam pillows. My previous one was good and had a nice contoured shape. However, it was hot and you couldn't flip it over or adjust it. It was like a couch cushion. Further, I had to use another pillow under it to make it the right height for side sleeping. The Snuggle-Pedic solved those issues. It's cool, extremely comfortable, and very supportive. I no longer need two pillows. I got the King size which is huge! I'm a big guy, so it's perfect for me, but you can remove some of the foam easily to decrease the size. The material of the pillow is great. I haven't put a case on it yet as i enjoy the soft texture. Since the pillow is washable, I may decide to not use a case. Never in my life did I expect to lay out seventy bucks for one pillow--if it had cost less there would be a fifth star here--but I saw the terrible reviews that went with the less expensive king pillows and decided to go for it. This was a Father's Day gift for my husband, one of those men that claims not to need anything. Well, he's a chronic insomniac and what he needs is a good night's sleep, and one of the two pillows he was using was awful. Couldn't be washed, full of dust mites for sure. Put this one in the win column. Others have remarked on its odor, and friends, they're right. Although new pillows often come with a chemical smell that has to air out for a bit, this is the most powerful, toxic-smelling thing I have ever purchased for the bedroom. If I had lived in an apartment or condo with no deck or spare room where I could isolate it and air it out for a few days, I would have had to send it back, and once it's out of its shrink wrap, good luck getting that toothpaste back in the tube. However, I do have a spare room, and I do have a deck, and by cracky I needed them both. The pillow arrived on a Friday; the mister was at a conference out of town, so I was able to hustle back to the spare room undetected. I unwrapped it and the smell just about knocked me over. I threw open the window near it, and backed out, with both beagles cringing out of there with me. Pee-yew! (It was also less than half as fat as it would become once it had a chance to expand.) I returned the next day and found I could get about halfway into the room, and the pillow was a little plumper. I opened the window a skosh wider and retreated again. On Sunday, the pillow was wonderfully fat, and the smell was not as severe, but also still too noticeable to put on the bed. I grabbed a towel and the pillow, took both out to the deck, put the towel on the picnic table and the pillow on the towel for cleanliness, and returned to the house. Monday morning--the day the recipient was due home--it was ready to use. The advertising for this thing says you can remove some of the stuffing if you want to in order to make it not quite so fat, depending on your taste. You could do that, but it would be a royal pain. The outer case, pictured here, is of good quality and has a good sturdy zipper. The inner case is a piece of cheap crap with a zipper I wouldn't trust to open and shut more than twice, maybe. If you wanted to use one case to store the unused filling--presumably so you could put it back in later, when the pillow is older and starts to get flatter--you would need to take nearly all of the teeny-tiny bits of foam out of the crap pillowcase, use the crap pillowcase to store the leftovers, and then use the good pillowcase for the pillow. Or I guess you could just pull a little bit out of the crap pillowcase and take your chance that the zipper will never break and explode foam all over the bedroom. Up to you. Good luck with that. Happily, my guy likes it with all the foam inside it. He used to use two pillows, but with this one fully loaded, he only wants this one pillow. A king pillowcase (already owned and in the closet) went on just fine. I had the rare satisfaction of finally finding a surprise gift that makes a very picky guy very happy.

I bought this pillow after trying so many other of the big name brands that were supposed to be good for neck pain. After reading the reviews, & their money back guarantee, plus customer service & support policy, I figured what did I have to lose? Turns out nothing! I have cervical & spinal issues from 2 car accidents, so proper support is essential to me. I've probably spent hundreds on pillows by now, all ending up being big disappointments; all leaving me in pain; waking up after 4 hours in pain...just worthless overpriced garbage pillows! Not this one! So far, it's been about 2 weeks, and I've been sleeping happily & pain free for more than 4 hours at a time for the first time in I cant remember how long! I'm a side sleeper, & I haven't woken up with neck pain, or a beginning of a migraine, which to me is amazing! My current pillow, the "My Pillow" (TOTAL GARBAGE) already went to my dogs to sleep on! Lol 😂🐶 I love that I can customize the fill, if necessary. So far, so good though, just the way it came out of the box. I ordered the king size. Oh, and unboxing it was so much fun too! It was vacuum sealed, so after taking off the plastic wrap and watching it reinflate, (which was cool! Lol) I just popped it in the dryer for 20 minutes with a dryer sheet and BAM! I had a perfect pillow! It is a bit heavier than a regular pillow, but no biggie. And I noticed no smell what so ever from the fill. The customer service experience is exceptional; they emailed me about a week after I got my Snuggle-Pedic pillow see how things were working out, and offer free customization if necessary. They even are sending me a free pillowcase for it! Awesome! I believe I've found "THE ONE" pillow for me! Short version: these were awesome, but the company that made these went out of buisness, and the pillows being sold now are OLD product that comes without support, warranty, or quality control. Possibly tampered with. AVOID. Long version: Ordered one of these pillows about 5 years ago. It was GREAT. My favorite. Needed to remove stuffing to make it soft enough for me (i’m a back/side sleeper). The last few years of its life it took some extra fluffing as the foam likes to clump, but it was almost as soft and comfy as down with the support of a foam pillow. I Ordered a second one this past summer for another bed. They sent me the wrong one and the return was a hassle. I eventually it made right. The pillow was as good as I remembered and I needed, as before, to remove stuffing to make it soft enough for me. I just bought a third one, meant to replace the first. They have sent me a flat, underfilled version of the pillow. The included replacement stuffing bag was leaking, and the foam inside felt stiff like it’d been left out in the sun. I’m wondering if I got the cheaper foam version of the pillow sent to me when I ordered the memory foam. Not really any way to know. I had to add ALL of the extra foam to the pillow this time instead of removing any (as I always did before) and that made it just firm enough. But the company is now gone so I can’t get any more filling, and I know that means this 90 dollar pillow is soon going to be flat and unusable. A good pillow is hard to find, so this was a disappointing outcome! SKIP THIS PILLOW.

For years now I have been trying to find the right pillow for my head and neck and back. Oftentimes, I would wake up in the night with either a back/neck ache or with a migraine and as soon as I would get up the pain would diminish so I knew it was the pillow. Now I am a very skeptical person and I do not sway very easily but when I ran across this pillow I just had to try it based on all the reviews, the money back guarantee, 120 night trial, and the amazing 20 year warranty. I know it seems like a lot of money for a pillow but if you are anything like me and suffer nightly then there is no amount of money you won’t spend to sleep without pain. The fact that this pillow is made entirely in the USA is just like a cherry on top to me! The pillow arrives flat and rolled up jelly roll style. When I unrolled it and saw how flat it was I thought there is no way this will inflate so I opened the plastic bag it was sealed in and low and behold it did inflate…fully! It was so awesome to watch it grow into a king size pillow! I know I am easily entertained but this was amazing to watch. The real test was sleeping on it. I didn’t have to wait 48 hours for it to settle in or firm up or anything. It was ready to go right then. That first night I discovered it was a little too firm so after speaking with the manufacturer I removed a little stuffing at a time until it was just the right amount. Now it is perfect and I sleep well every night. No more headaches, neck/backaches. I am mainly a back sleeper but this works for me whether I am on my back or on my side. I am recommending this pillow to everyone I know and from here on out it will be the only pillow I will ever buy again!

Bear with me as this will be a lengthy review! First of all, pillow comfort is almost entirely subjective. Therefore most reviews should be taken with a grain of salt, as what one person experiences is not what another may experience. One thing I can say is that I've been on the hunt for the "perfect" pillow for almost a decade now, and while I've come close I still haven't found the holy grail. Prior to purchasing this pillow I had been using a high loft solid memory foam pillow for years. What I liked most about solid memory foam was that it always retained its shape. I never had to fluff it, and it was nice and firm. But over the years the height and stiffness of solid foam began hurting my neck and back. So I began looking for a new pillow and decided on this one based on the reviews. Right out of the box, as is, I didn't find that this pillow had the loft and firmness I was looking for. Luckily the customer service is excellent and they offered to send out extra foam to fill my pillow. The extra foam definitely helped, and the ability to customize the loft was a HUGE reason I was attracted to this particular pillow. I was able to get it just the way I wanted and found it to be extremely comfortable. Now for the bad. While I do find that the foam is good quality, over just a night or two the small pieces of foam tend to "stick" under the weight of my head and create clumps instead of remaining loose. This causes the contents to shift around and I could only loosen the foam bits by unzipping the case and using my hand to break the clumps apart. I have had other shredded memory foam pillows in the past where I did not have to do this, so it must be the type of foam used. The pillow case that houses the foam is also an issue because it is designed to stretch somewhat. I can see why that is necessary, because otherwise it would be difficult to add additional filing, but because it is so stretchy it doesn't really allow the filling to be totally compact. It's hard to explain. But I like my pillows firm, and I just found the contents were easily shifted because there was always space for it to shift. The only way to get it totally compact was to put an enormous amount of foam inside which made the loft TOO high for me. So I've been struggling with this issue now for months. Now for the good news. I now have the perfect pillow, but I basically had to create it myself. If you have been struggling with this pillow the same way I've been, here is how I solved the issue: Basically my pillow now is a combination of two pillows. This pillow, plus a LOW loft (3" to 4" height) solid foam pillow. The solid foam pillow I purchased came with a non-stretchy zippered cover, but it wasn't snug. This left room for me to add some of the shredded foam from this pillow inside the case. I decided to add the shredded foam to just one side, which gave me the extra loft I needed and the ability to flip my homemade pillow over in a choice to sleep on the solid side or shredded side. But you could just as easily add shredded foam to both sides. Doing this ensured the pillow always retained its shape, as the shredded foam stuck to the solid foam instead of to itself. I've never had a problem since.

It's not memory foam. It's 50% shredded regular foam, and 25% polly fluff (like whats in a couch pillow or a cheap coat) and 25% gel foam. And its very, I mean VERY stretchy. The filler you claim to be memory foam is not supportive enough and adding more doesn't help if it stretches to twice its size and my head is on the mattress anyway. I have an actual memory foam pillow, its smaller than this one and weighs TWICE as much. What a waste of time. Waited a week for shipping and paid $150 and its going back after 5min.
