Works well for my use
Bought it to monitor water consumption while boondocking in my RV. It has been just over a year, and many boondocking outings since purchase. Still has the same batteries. Seems to measure usage reasonably well. No complaints here.

A great monitor overall
I purchased 4 of these monitors to give a visual flow output of external canister filters on my 2 large aquariums and the work very well, one does seem to have a fairly higher reading than the other 3 by over 2 liters a minute (4x identical filters, make model media etc..)Only a few minor issues, battey life (with the supplied batteries) is poor, the option of an external power source for constant monitoring would be good.hopefully with longlife batteries from a well known brand they may last longer!!Screen is hard to read when installed in an aquarium cabinet, a backlight would be a huge improvement.Instructions don't tell you how to switch between Litres & gallons per minute, when you find out how to do it it is very simple and only a few lines of short instructions would need to be added to paperwork !!Overall a very good little unit for the money.

Defective?
Well... This thing doesn't work at all. Installed, new batteries, and it doesn't register any flow rate or usage. Yes the arrow is in the right direction. The PSI on the water line is 50... Simply doesn't register anything.

Works well for a couple months
I have gone through three of these in all cases they work well for three or four months on my Reef aquarium. But the batteries die very quickly, and the connection tends to get corroded and not work after a while.

Inaccurate. But consistently inaccurate
I compared this against multiple other meters. The other meters are 100% accurate. When using this meter it has a 25% error low. 6.7 gallons out is measured as 5 gallons. Which brings me to the next issue. The display only reflects whole numbers. 1, 2, 3, 4...etc. No decimal for tenths. The wire is only 4' long so if you purchased with the hopes of placing the display more than 4 feet away look elsewhere.

Not good for Reverse Osmosis filters
Works, but not for my case. Reverse Osmosis filter water flow is too slow, sensor sensitivity is insufficient. Shows 0 most of the time.I think this is within the specs so will give it some stars.

Nice to Have
The 3/4" NPT works well for my 3/4" aquarium plumbing. I haven't done anything to verify the accuracy, but the numbers seem believable. It's nice to have the flow rate visible at a glance.I suspect that it was not designed to be used 24/7. So, I'm not sure how long the batteries are going to last. Room for improvement: External USB power connection and/or a momentary on/off button.
