Worked great for my 2023 Forester Wilderness. I had no issues installing it and it has good placement options. I took it on a roadtrip after installing it and it held with no problems.

All aluminum with tapped holes and stainless hex hardware, massive range of adjustment, and weighs less than a pound.

All in all it’s a pretty good option for the price. Looks great, low profile. I which it was stronger though. I found myself having to tighten or adjust it every time I went through the car wash.

Total junk, the mounting screw completely stripped out the housing when I was trying to secure the thing. I wish I didn’t wait so long to install it.

This license plate bracket was recommended by the sales team where I purchased my 2025 Outback Wilderness. The bracket attaches into the tow hook receptacle on either side of the bumper. You remove the "plug" panel that covers the tow hook area. It is easy to assemble and fits perfectly. Amazon reflected this would not fit the 2025 Outback but they were wrong. By using this bracket you can avoid putting holes in to front bumper cladding. Because it is offset from center it also gives more of a sporty look.

As other reviewers have said, this kit doesn’t come with instructions. But if youve installed a tow hook license plate bracket before you’ll have no trouble. Or do a quick internet search for some general instructions.The kit is very adjustable. You can adjust the angle of the bracket however you like. You can also mount the bracket at different positions to get the height you like.The plate bolts are not long enough to accommodate a license plate frame. You will need longer nuts if you want to mount a frame.If this is your first tow hook plate mount, security is most important. Tighten everything as much as possible without stripping or breaking hardware. Losing a plate or causing damage to your car, or someone else’s car, for the sake of aesthetics isn’t worth it.

On my 2021 forester base sticks out a little too much forward than I’d like it too.
